  5. Saw a bunch of Noise and Quidam this week in Vancouver.. Heres a shot from the Squamish skatepark.
  6. Well it looks like it's pretty good despite the rough ground. Learned back tails on it yesterday. And my homie Evan was getting noseblunts! The spot is in my parents' driveway where I no longer live. They were away for a couple weeks and needed me to look after the house, so I built a ledge. It's just a nice little obstacle that I'll have there every time I go back to visit.
  7. It's pretty gritty but you can get around it. Just gotta get used to it I guess, but I'll probably end up patching it up a bit. Does anyone else have any sweet homemade spots to post?
  8. Built myself a concrete/granite ledge in the front yard this week. Here's a flick of it finished.
  9. Yeah it was posted a few replies back.. ^^ Here you go http://www.hardflipmovie.com/
  10. That Play is sick as fuck
  11. http://www.fivepointsskates.com/decks2.htm This guy will cut you pretty much any shape you want, and for really cheap too. Wood quality I'd say is slightly above average, nothing spectacular. Definitely a sick company worth considering.
  12. ^^^ Yeah I have a friend that has the same problem... All his wheels are smaller than 40mm, it looks pretty ridiculous
  13. Bunch of STARE http://mtn-world.com/stare/2012/04/02/mr-stare/
  14. Anybody ever heard of this guy? Dude is an absolute animal.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=caM0sFTfdoM&feature=plcp&context=C4e4cf67VDvjVQa1PpcFP1Pq-TVdSiUPdWpSehzHz4eNUcvLDJAX4=
  15. Found this radness on Thrasher the other day. "In 1975, the Central Arizona Project (C.A.P.) began with the goal to bring water from the Colorado River to Phoenix and Tucson via a series of canals. Wherever the canals crossed a river, huge 24-foot pipes were used. When I was in high school, we wrote the company that made the pipes (Ameron) and they sent us maps of the C.A.P. project, so we were able to find the different pipe construction sites and barge them. I carried my camera during those early years, and I'm now slowly restoring these historic pipe photos 30 years later. I am just another vert dinosaur, sharing old war stories. I'm sure we all have some. I was lucky to be in the right place at the right time. I was also a photographer and a crazed AZ desert skateboarder. Very few of us OG skaters are still skating. Life changes, the sport changes, people get hurt and stop. But I know many of us cannot give up skateboarding, for us it is more than a sport or a hobby, it is a way of life. Skateboarding will take you on adventures with your friends you will never forget, no matter how old you are." Sincerely, Ping http://home.comcast.net/~pingmon/Desert_Pipes_1979/Desert_Pipes_1979.html
  16. Word man, to each his own. Sick video part. I love older footy. The skating looked like so much fun back then, none of the "standards" that you see in it today. Not saying it's any less fun now though :D
  17. Wonder what those could've been..
  18. Why couldn't the pros and young guns just do the same tricks, just pushing to do it with more style each time.. Or even just to compare and see how their style differs. Either way I think any reasonable pro should be stoked to see anyone land a trick that they enjoy doing.
  19. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MNoRx-3gIho An ode to the handplant
