I gotcha....what I mean is they might have gotten the keyboard letters down or simply want to expand past it. Wouldn't critiquing their existing work without pushing them back to doing keyboard letters let them do just that? No one said, hey you bit my style, when some toy was doing a simple letter....maybe one could use some different types of crits to get their own style flowing...that's all I really wanted to bring up.

I'm guessing that this thread should be renamed "All Toys Must Draw Simples Here". Yeah I know toys gotta get the basics but how are toys going to progress with style if all they're drawing is keyboard letters. Makes no sense to me.

I don't really know why people complain about gas going up....or even the price of gas period. If you drive your car....you buy gas....gas costs money....gas prices fluctuate.....we're all slaves to the oil empire. Woke up....got dressed and looked at the Oontz While watching my fave morning news hottie Robin Meade Said goodbye to my "kids" and headed off to work Stopped at the store for my regular morning drink, Green Tea. Then I spotted these gems.... Sadly they're not like the kinda I used to eat a long time ago....meh. Did a few things a work then reached in my pocket and found this Astro fat got washed.... whatev. Lunch Worked on a last minute project and finally made it to 5pm.... Hopped in the mustang to head home I work near 3 sets of tracks....so I got stuck at a RR Xing...and snapped a few fliks Waited til my girl got home and we had a hookah sesh....we had been planning this all week. We smoked the tropical punch....delicious. The End

Gridpapers might not help YOU, but they do help some people. Typographers use grids to design typefaces...i.e. fonts. It's a widely used standard to design anything really....not just typefaces. Oh and jk about the crobars. Bars are what make up the letters. Such as the straight left side of a B or a D....or an F...you get the idea.

FOR NON-RACKING WRITERS: There's a sale going on at Hobby Lobby...20% off paint markers. Singles and sets. A couple weeks back there was also a sale at Michaels, 2 for $5....not sure if it's still going on or not.

How about using grid paper....much simpler. Take it into photoshop and erase the blue lines quick and post it.

When I look at graff I don't pick it apart and analyze the structure of every single bar and extension. However in this case.... yes you are right...the low-light is what I meant. I gives it an embossed effect that pops off the page. If you really want to get technical we can mention that the low light was mis-used in relation to the 3-d. But I'm still feelin the flik....nice use of colors. Fuck the haters. No one is perfect.

I know this is an old post but DAMN i'm diggin that pink one. The highlight inside the pink is fresh.

Yeah the first pic is just something I was messing with. My regular bubble letters aren't like that. The only thing I got from this was keep the letters more consistent....understood...thanks. I'm not really sure what you're talking about with the ( ) and [ ] It's whatev...thanks for the crit.

Hmm....mixing....sounds really messy. I tried doing that with a smaller hairspray can. Fail. Eventually I'll try this way when I can be bothered.

^ reminds me of this printer maintenence cartridge in our wide format printer at work. It looks like 10 of the dry erase felts.....stacked side by side. It's like a repository for ink....soaks up the excess ink from the printer...eventually you gotta replace it....which is it's purpose. Has anyone thought of using a sham-wow for a nib? It's pretty absorbent....maybe fold it a few times. Sounds like a joke I know...but who knows it might work?
