Well, for one I feel like you need to have a good body of work (quality and amount of paintings). You need to have confidence in your work I'd say before jumping out there like that. Otherwise I would think it would be harder to sell yourself.

I actually got a show coming up this week too. Pretty pumped.

Yeah, Conor Harrington is a large inspiration to how I started painting.... I'm working more in finding my style (sorta how I use the newspaper and such), but yeah I see a lot of correlations between his and my work. I guess bold lines and graffiti abstractions just grabbed my attention, haha. Edit: I don't know, I just find the concept of mixing different styles into one amazing. Allows you to work infinitely with certain ideas

I like what's going on in this thread. Lots of great concepts. I'm newer to Abstracts, but sort of have a grasp with it: Most of the work I do like this is generally calligraphic in a way.
