it all depends on the kid in question honestly. Some kids don't respong to getting spanked, some do. My ex would smack my kids with anything he had handy, including my metal belts. I decided "fuck spanking" when I left my ex, and that shit was horrible. I tried everything, from talking to them, to positive re-enforcement...fuck that. My daughter started having HORRIBLE tantrums, enough to where she could have actually hurt herself had they went on. I had almost got them to stop, met my husband, and after I finally moved in with him, her tantrums came back tenfold. Like, she broke her solid oak bed, and it wasn't no walmart bed, it was actual, solid wood, and she broke one of the posts almost in two, kicking it, barefoot (little girl is scarily strong sometimes). My husband refused to spank her, and it got to the point where she was fine if I was home, but if I was at work, she was throwing a tantrum at some point during the day. Finally, knowing I was working, he called my mom, and asked her what to do. She said "learn to use a belt." After spanking her two times, she stopped. He had to spank her maybe 3 times after that, and now she's a fucking angel for him. Spanking has it's place. I also know this chick that has never spanked her kid whatsoever, his punishment is a light slap on the hand (which makes the 4 year old giggle). I've seen him bite her, run away from her (ive seen him almost get hit by a car), he's thrown his food around in public, absolutely refuse to do anything she says. I fucking hate that kid.

man vulcan, I feel you on the stepmom bitch situation. I've tried to tell my dad numerous time that the bitch is cheating on his with a guy he's been friends with since I was like 4. Matter of fact, all my sibling, including one of the bitch's daughters has tried to tell him. UNfortunately, he's in afghanistan, and thinks that they're just friends, even though they were dating before she married my dad. Plus, she's just a raging bag of assholery. She used to give me cd's and then go tell my dad I stole them from her, tell me that I had to call her Mom if I ever wanted my dad to love me, and thought it was hilarious to force me to watch scary movies when I was like 6 and then leave me at the house alone. Fuck that whore. My dad told me he was proud of me for never needing to move back in with him as an adult, even struggling single with kids and shit. Fuck that, I'd rather struggle on my own than deal with that whore.

hah, I used to take home boxes of the cookie dough. Amazingly easy when the franchise owner is a cheap ass bastard that only has one manager for 5 stores, and since we were the smallest she was ALWAYS gone. I think I saw her 3 times while I worked there. I ended up quitting rather than getting fired though.
