good to see you drop thru man. Hopefully it isn't just a one off.

Hey Mauler nice seeing you bro... it has been a while. Those days with you all here like in the late 2000s and early 2010s were epic lol... might just pop in from time to time

Mass Effect trilogy was still the best game I ever played.

I got the green ending both times I finished #3 as I went back and played it a second time when they released the final DLC on the hardest difficulty.

But the lore, the story, and the characters were all great, even if Joker (Seth Green) has Hollywood friends who have a secret door behind a fireplace where they keep and molest kids as I heard on some podcast (Tin foil hat maybe?) years ago.

Played the first 3 but still haven't played Andromeda... you played that one yet?

Yeah 2 & 3 were great... I felt the first one was just kind of getting its feet wet though

  2. Needed to upgrade the computer (had since 2012), so I recently bought a "gaming PC" for the first time. Always typically played on consoles before... old computer was always just a basic work computer... Mainly got this for the case (Hyte Y60). Thought of building from scratch, but figured it's quicker to just get pre-built then add on later...

    Came with:

    CPU: Intel Core i9-1300KF

    GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070

    RAM: 32GB

    Storage: 1TB NVMe SSD

Cooling System: 4 intake fans, 1 exhaust fan, 1 liquid radiator for CPU

    Upgrades made so far:

Cooling System: Added 3 Corsair RGB exhaust fans at the top

Storage: Added an 8TB HDD, and then another 1TB NVME SSD

Monitor: MSI 27" 4K 144hz with DisplayPort connection

Keyboard: Corsair RGB Bluetooth Keyboard (can be plugged in)

Mouse: RedDragon RGB Bluetooth Mouse (can be plugged in)

At Ultra settings on modern AAA titles, at 4K resolution, the 4070 usually only gets between 30-60 FPS, depending on the title. Which is standard for a PS5 of Xbox Series X. Sometimes up to 70 FPS. Hoping to upgrade to a 4080 Super... wondering if it needs a new CPU to prevent bottlenecking

Wow that's crazy. Kind of reminds me of the solenoid crayfish copulators we used to see during Robert Oppenheimer's twerk festival at John Gotti's house. Oleg Rubinov used to have intercourse with bioluminescent rabbis, all while rocket-propelled hot dog stands defecated in the general direction of vegan bulletproof vests and alabaster knock-knees.

@TheoHuxtable..Hey man, welcome back... Havent seen you post in a minute. (Noticed you have a shitload of accounts. DM me if you want to combine them or save any old ones.)

I used to play regularly with my son at a spot called Fields of Fire out in Southern California back when I was living there. They had some pretty awesome terrain and setups... Mostly a field that sort of cascaded down big hills with a bunch of CQB setups at the bottom. The largest couple of fields were pretty big and had a series of trenches, sheds, watch towers and even some mock tanks all build out of wood. Teams were usually 25 - 50 people per side and games lasted a good long while. Anyhow, I mainly got into it because I couldn't bring my guns over from Florida as is and wasn't willing to neuter them to make them CA compliant. That and going to the range doesn't generally incorporate strategy and dynamic movement. It's definitely a super fun time and for sure some pretty amazing exercise with the right setups and people playing. Remember we used to play for a couple hours and after I was so tired I could barely drive home. That and full of bruises since I'd usually run slick instead of putting on a bunch of bulky armor. Wanted to try some of the airsoft stuff since it seemed to be a whole other level closer to the real thing, but never had the chance.

Anyhow, no idea what its like out where I am now, but did see a billboard a while back when I first moved out here.

Just curious... Do you do any shooting with real guns? Good thread that's been going here: https://forum.12ozprophet.com/topic/69992-gun-thread/

Hey what's up Raven! Thanks, glad to hear from you, and glad that your site is still going strong as ever, and proud to see how you've evolved 12oz into many different apparatuses...

Yeah, I'm familiar with Fields of Fire -- over their toward near Santa Clarita.  I drove by it many times but never actually played there, because there was another field in the area called Conquest which I'd go to often. Kept meaning to play there, though.

Yeah, I don't. I guess being from California kind of "neutered" me into gun culture. I have shot various guns before and have been trained in a few as well.

But based on what you said got you into paintball, I would say airsoft would be more suited for your needs -- the guns are all replicas of real guns; you cock them the same way, load in clips or magazines the same way, and different guns shoot differently (heavy machine guns, sniper rifles, shotguns, etc.). Paintball has evolved in that manner as I noticed some markers these days look like real guns.

I've never played airsoft but I'm planning on it soon. What got me into paintball was a desire to simulate  "war games." That's originally what paintball was in the 80's up to the late 90's. Since then, paintball has evolved to be more of a "sport"; particularly with the rise of speedball. I like speedball and it is fun, but speedball really changed the way paintball is played and perceived now. Less camo and military gear; more bright colors and giant logos and jerseys. Trees and natural environments to hide behind have been replaced with neon inflatable "bunkers."

Airsoft today in my opinion is what paintball was originally trying to be. But there are pros and cons to airsoft or paintball that anyone can point out.

Hey, thank you in regards to the many accounts. I'll DM you about combining the accounts under just one name. I just gotta look it over real quick. I appreciate it. ?

Good luck in your airsoft endeavors.

  5. I've been eyeing the Empire BT Dfender. It's appealing because its built-in hopper which makes the game more minimal and more like a real rifle, without the hopper popped out hanging to the side. In addition, it has many other advanced features.

Instead, I bought a Tippman Cronus Tactical. Tippman has always been known for making reliable, durable, great guns for low prices. A good entry-level gun for people starting out, or getting back into it like myself:

  6. Anyone here play paintball?

I played a lot as a teenager and I'm just starting to get back into it as an adult.

Hopefully we can get a thread going. Topics include but are not limited to: paintball guns/markers, gear/equipment/accessories, strategy, fields, experiences, stories, etc...

  7. I haven't had time to play in a while but I'll get back to gaming. I just wanted to say 'The Last of Us' is one of the best games I've ever played.

What are some other (recent generation) games you like?

Seems like too many good games are getting released all at once to keep up... Detroit: Become Human, all the recent Assassin's Creeds, God of War, Spider-Man, etc.

Let us know how you like it... the owners are from Brooklyn who wanted to make it exactly like home, so I'd say this is authentic NY pizza.

Yeah, man. I grew up. Alex is a fraudster seed salesman.

I got deep into intelligence analysis, was trained by the right people, and have a much better grasp on how to research with the proper head.

How have you been? Did you ever score a job with TYT? Lol. If I remember correctly you were headed to work for a major publication.

Yeah man Alex changed a lot since then and went off the deep end. I was curious as to if your position on him changed as a result. Seems like he lost a lot of his fanbase, but I'm sure he's gained new followers as a result.

Wow, intelligence analysis -- I'm curious to know your story! Sounds like interesting stuff you went through.

I don't recall ever talking about working for a major publication, but I do remember interviewing with TYT but never got to work for them; I did however do some sub-contract work for them. I currently work in the tech industry in L.A.

Hey what's up Casek! How's everything? Miss all those old political debates from Crossfire with you. Curious, has your position on Alex Jones shifted because it seems like his persona and talking points have changed a bit since then...

Anyone remember his blog? that shit was hilarious

I wonder if it's still up

*edit; blog was mentioned up top*

The reason he made the blog private is because he said he's publishing a book, and some of that material from Victory Light will be used.
