  1. man, i REALLY wanted that lens. i just bought a tamron 28-75 f/2.8. how much you looking to get for it?

  3. pulled the turd out of the garage today. i was also noobing it up with the camera as well. oh wells. it needs to be detailed....BADLY. turbo on the way probably next week.
  4. i only have a hoya circ polarizer. its great when the sun is out and the sky is blue. i wouldnt mind having an ND filter though. this is what you're talking about. i actually bumped the lens hood into the bumper twice. lol. this was right when i got the lens.
  5. i agree. thats the lens on my cam 95% of the time.
  6. not really. we've only had 1 close encounter there. but only because we were being stupid. we were outside the building, but inside the fence. cops were like 'you're not supposed to be in there. come on out, we'll let you go this time'. they waited for us.....so we found a new way out. even if they came in after us, they'd never find us unless they had dogs. i dont generally worry about it once you get inside. thats with every place ive gone. most of the places ive been/go i know pretty well. good enough to evade the po-lice if need be.
  7. you ever see transformers?? remember this part? look closely. michigan central station, in detroit. i have more refrences, but i cant find movie screenshots. if you guys have the movie, pop it in and fastwarward to that part. this is it from the front. in the movie, sam has the allspark, and runs right in the front door. megatron follows him inside. but he blows right through the big window on the left. built in 1913, closed down in 1988. she still stands. beauty is still there to be witnessed. but she's growing very tired.
  8. love that one 2nd from the bottom. shit is hot.
  9. i shoot a sigma 10-20 all day long. its no fisheye, but i sitll like it. a tad soft alot of the time. but just get used to framing it to correct alot of it. toss in one more.
  10. whats with the spikes?? some artsy shit?? looks kind of out of place. cool shot though. lots to look at. some older shots. abandoned church/school.

i have one of these. just a little dinky fucker. but i use the shit out of it. the wood grain was a major selling point.
  16. http://www.flickr.com/photos/danevan/ im still pretty new. you can totally tell my new shit, from my old shit. lots of progress the past year or so.
  17. i like to add cold tones to my B&W shots. then some reg B&W's.
  18. all HDRs. i cant seem to NOT take an HDR shot. i dont generally like HDR photography, but i like what it can achieve for me. i mess with them quite a bit when tonemapping. i try to flatten them most of the time, taking away some of the fake-ness of your typical HDR'd image. i prefer a more conservative, realistic look. but at the same time, i like to do hdr's. i try and put it right in the middle. if people have to ask if its an HDR, thats a good thing IMO. heres a couple that i did. they are both 5 exposure HDR's. but most people dont notice it. not right away anyhow. but when i edit my shots, i do them in this order: Photomatix -> Lightroom -> CS3 -> then onto flickr. takes alot of time, but makes me happy. anyhow, thanks for all the kind words.
