Yeah that's a tricky one. Best not to shoot upskirts. You should charge more though dude. I charged 400 for halloween night and I was offered 600 for NYE. Decided to turn that one down though, had to party.

It's called panning. If you have a slow shutter speed (guaranteed to slow down if you're shooting f22) and follow a moving object that is continuing on a trajectory you can keep your focal point sharp while blurring your background.

Do you have one now, or what do you shoot your M glass with?
My friends and I were asked to do a review of the camera in August. We got it before it came out serial #8. It's on youtube. Until yesterday I shot my m glass on an m6. Now I'm between bodies. I shoot my gr1v and yashica t4 more than I ever shot the leica ahah. It just suits my drunk shooting more.

Good call I'm getting the 5d II next week as well. Business isn't good enough to get the 3...
The upside to my 1d over the 5 is the AF. That's about it.

I got another gig! There is some Italian film screening going on and a banquet event after and they asked me to come and take some photos. It isn't paid for (i get to watch the screening for free and free food and drinks) but I think it's a good way to get my name out there and build up some work experience.
Any thoughts? Did you guys work for free at the beginning?
I don't work for free but sometimes I volunteer to help someone who I think is talented and doing and interesting project. People don't always have the means to pay you but lending a helping hand can go a long way.

I have the 1dMK II N, I like the old 1D's and I've shot some nice studio stuff with it. But low light is fucking terrible. The added megapixels of the S version would be nice but the sensors are garbage. They don't even compare to the new rebels.
Get a 5d MK II. It's a world better. Or try to get a 1d MK IV. Anything else just isn't worth it.

As for prices, KEH is probably your best bet for used gear. That's the only place you can really get a return policy.

I shoot with a gr1v almost exclusively now. Anyone want a leica m6? got a 50 summicron for sale too.

An AE-1 would be the last film slr I'd want to shoot. They're the most prone to break. Look for any olympus om, nikon fe's or fm's. (electronic, mechanical) Minolta x700's, pentax k1000's. Anything but an ae-1. The lenses on all these other cameras are better too.
Doodle, that's cool but I'd say get closer and wider.
