  1. Dizzee Rascal video shoot the next day Pre-Game Concert And finally.... The actual game. That's all folks.....
  2. So, since the Texans did not make it to the Super Bowl, my request for New Orleans was denied by the NFL. But I did receive approval to shoot the 2013 NBA All-Star game here in Houston. This is a collection of my best shots: Rising Stars Challenge I was hired by Nike to shoot their big "Area 72" event at the Houston Galleria. I shadowed the primary video guy. We were the only ones with access to the players from beginning to end. It was awesome. They shut down the mall and the streets around the mall due to overcrowding and the mini riot that Lebron caused when he decided to exit thru the food court instead of the area that HPD secured. After the Nike event, I was invited to shoot the red carpet at the annual 2Kings Dinner hosted by Lebron and Jay-Z: moar.....

  5. x-post from the Day in Pies thread: Interesting story about this guy. I met him in that plaza in La Piedad (Michoacan, Mexico). He said his name was Octavio and he was 98 years old. He walks that plaza everyday before lunch. He claimed to have been 7-10 years old when he camped out with Pancho Villa at the Battle of Ciudad Juarez (1911). He said he would bring water, food, and candy to the soldiers at their camp. I really don't know if his story was true, but I like to believe that it was. This was def one of my fav portraits & photos that I've ever taken.
  6. Dude, I've been to that plaza! That's in La Piedad, Michoacan... which is right on the border with Guanajuato. Back in 2007, my godmother, who lives in Mexico, organized a trip to attend a religious pilgrimage in Tanuato, Michacan (30km from Ticuitaco). She charted a bus and my parents, my grandma, myself and thirty others took this trip. We stayed in a beautiful hotel in La piedad, right on the river, on a mountain. We actually also traveled to Guanajuato City, Dolores Hidalgo, Atotonilco, and San Miguel de Allende on this trip. That was in May. My parents and grandma would go back to San Miguel in July. On the way home, a mini-van T-Boned the Chevy Suburban they were in and I lost my mother, grandma, and god-sister. My father & brother spent weeks in the hospital. These were the last memories I had with my mom & grandma. I cherish them dearly. Interesting story about this guy. I met him in that plaza in La Piedad. 7. I bought an original 5D recently. enjoying the full frame. good thing, too, cuz I shot the Houston Marathon in the cold and rain, so now my 2 T1i's are toast. sent them back to Canon. strait out of the camera, no edits. 50mm @ 1.4, ISO 1600 with a cell phone flashlight for his face. Under Oath @ House of Blues Houston porra was more adventurous than I was with this shot.
