  1. I was on Amazon.com today and they are taking pre orders for what looks to be a TDC book in the works.Cool to see Schiffer publications coming out with hardcore graffiti books. The title is New York City Graffiti by The Destiny Children.
  2. I got my copy of "FROM THE PLATFORM" over the weekend, dope book "CAVS"and "KEY".I said it before and I'll say it again,it would of been a terrible loss if these trains were not documented. You look at the subway stations and the trains now and it looks like that time period in the 1980's never took place.I like those rooftop shots in the book,it really gives you a feel like your right there.Shout out to COLE T. ONLY and all the photographers back in the day for the dedication ya'll put into it.Both books,"FROM THE PLATFORM",and "STEEL WHEELS" filled that mid to late 1980's gap of train flicks nicely.
  3. These are the flicks I thought Henry was gonna put in the 25th anniversary edition of "SUBWAY ART".Hopefully these flicks are in his dvd when it comes out.
  4. Too bad that "POES" piece got dissed,it looks like it was dope.
  5. This "HASH" piece by DOME TDC is off the chain.Never seen this flick before. The Golden era of New York burners for real.
  6. That "SLAVE TO STYLE" train is a classic.DOME TDC and VULCAN were no joke.Late 1980's train lookin' like somebody just did it.Advanced, innovative styles from these cats.
  7. That "SKEME" top to bottom is bangin'.Too bad the windows are scraped.Never seen that flick before either.

    238th/Pelham

If you go to flickr I think that flick your talking about is on there.Go to the search box and type in pelham bay graffiti. There's someone with a flick collection from that time period. It's Philllips Photostream-1990's Graffiti:Bronx.
  9. Just the cover alone on that "CAVS" book is crazy, and those "DUSTER" joints are rockin'.Props to people who were takin' flicks before it became cool for everybody to have a camera. Not too many people takin' flicks back in the day.
  10. Anbody that's into "SKEME"TNT,there's an interview about him in STRAIGHT STUNTIN' magazine by DJ.KAYSLAY.The cover has the rapper N.O.R.E on it.
  11. Props to "REVS",the first graffiti flick I ever took was a picture of the piece REVLON did on canal st.It was dated 1985,but I took the flick in 1988 out of my mother's car window with a polaroid camera. It said THE ART AND ANTIQUE CENTER.That REVLON piece that got niped by the RAM "R" is in the STEEL WHEELS 1986-1997 book. Thanks for droppin' knowledge 1959 RUSTO.
  12. That "REVLON",piece is bangin',I like that RE connection, and the color scheme is butter too.I'd like to see that KAB,REV,and TEKAY train flick I seen in ON THE GO magazine back in the early 1990's if someone had it.
  13. I agree this train is rockin',that color scheme is crazy!
  14. Shout out to COLE T.ONLY.I got a copy of STEEL WHEELS 1986-1997 the other day. This is the best book I've read on the NewYork subway writing movement since I got PHASE TOO's book back in 1996.Thanks for sharing your flick collection with the rest of the world.I always wanted a book that covered the mid to late 1980's, and your book does just that.I'm glad you shed light on your shoe box.KIES7,TEKAY,MAGOO2 DOME TDC,that LACE357 top to bottom,DERO,SENTO,etc...off the chain shit.Alot of the photos I never saw before, and you seen them right in front of you.It would have been a terrible loss if these trains were never documented.
  15. Props to "DUSTER".One of the best writers out of New York. That drawing up top is dope.
  16. TOTEM rocked this shit, dope colors and letters.
  17. This train is crazy,"NEWAVE CREW" were way ahead of their time.Props to "ERNI" aka "PAZE" for thinking outside the box.I wonder if anybody ever got a flick with the windows and all.
  18. Damn,AONES you got some rare flicks, never seen those REVLONS(REVS) before.keep em' comin'.
  19. I agree, after a while it does get silly, but the problem is that when these books get made alot of pieces and writers that should be documented get left out.The fame aspect of graffiti has fucked it all up,so now you get a book filled up with an authors subjective view of what he feels should go in the book instead of just telling it like it really was and is.So you end up reading about the same dudes over and over again.Hopefully in the near future will see and read books from authors that do serious research, instead of just shouting out their boys and proping up the crews that they belong to."GRAFFITI KINGS" is one of the best books i've read so far.
  20. Banging ass "DUSTER" jump off's right here! Dope posts! Ya got tha "STYLEWARS" pause right there. You got press the remote real fast when that train pops up on the the screen. All these pieces could rock in 2010 without any problem, and they were done 25 plus years ago!
  21. SAE,SUDE,KOZE,and EMAD had dope pieces, cool flix DevaDonut.
