  1. can get those too, acrylic inks though, not paint...
  2. I got violet and methlyene... though i notive the gentian on some surfaces spots out, looks shiny and wipes right off. Depends on the press and how they spent money. Some use alcohol, most water. But i figure pen ink is oil based so it should work the same. Fuck i,ll try and post some results cause i know its dirty shit. Ill check out the stamp inks too.
  3. Did a search of this thread first. Anyone tried or used Shiny or IDeal stamp inks? Some are oil based... I can get offset inks which are oil based, so i assume like ballpoint pens I can just thin with alcohol and apply? Just a note: Kiwi Leather Dye does not mix with Marsh, it just forms pockets that float on top of the Marsh and if you then try to mix Garvey in it will make the Kiwi solidify. It's exactly akin to a cement mixer, its like it curdles it.

well, what your splitting here are the hairs of your opinion. Montanas valves are ncie, i've used them, and while i like lak it isnt my end all be all. Belton and 94's have better valves in my opinion, my fav valves. but i like to save money and lak's valves work fine. Ny thins, why bother with them when the can allows the use of gray dots? Because if you want to talk versatility, look att the ever expanding selection of precision tips vs the ny thin that first came out ages ago. Not only are the similar or same options crisper, they offer a whole range of widths... i often use ny thins if its all is available to fill in when med weight is needed.

hardcores nice but that 94 and those belton cans have all the control and then some over it. not sure on the lak yet, but i've seen the stuff done with it, and monster and clash too, so they must all have the ability... especially the lak, on the homepage gallery there are some lines so clean they look like they were brush painted or something

i got some coming in tomorrow. i'll let you knwo cause i've been curious about that since so many people have been talking about it.
  7. yeah i couldnt figur out who hes talkin to either
  8. wow... crazy drama beef goin' on. There is no way that where you come from makes any difference it's all about skill and nothing more, those who work harder get it quicker if their gonna get it at all... thats how i see it anyway... and how come a bunch of ireps posts are edited? anyway bones, seriously man, those characters are like... lovin' it all man. you got any pictures of any pieces kid? aegis... er.. donald.. dude thats way better, and the lines on the other one were to show sizing difference, again sorry man, just saw that post now...
  9. here is some old old shit, kid i roll with, teaches me the ropes.. jsut cause i know you guys like to see photos
  10. yeah sorry man, last couple of days about a thousand things seem to always be going on, its about impossible to find time to do anything, so im always rushing... holidays are madness here, my bad, i was just trying to help
  11. whoa... sorry man... i assumed you wanted people to comment... i was thinking of someone else on the 3d, my bad, although the e has different 3d perspective than other letters some go right some left i was in a hurry but as to the other stuff here you can see parts of letters overlap but then not others, the line between a and e is slanted, the letters except i should all be the same size. I assume your practicing simples, well, all letters less certain ones like non serif I's should be the same width, especially top to bottom, also if something overlaps, it should consistently, in a simple piece, maybe not in things like wilds for obvious reasons... anyway, i guess my bad, damnbulance...
  12. i see that kind of... well, it looks too busy in parts on that prescrip enigma, but it's still nice looking. haha, i know this kid here, he has the maddest styles in letters and characters but god man his color is always shit, like yellow pink and brown green red or something and it always looks washed out i dont know why but... man... nice stash defi, i remember the krylon rusto days, never again, never again, not sure but i think you need a squeeze mop, i like the hand under your bigger simple, the last one, i think it'd be nice with some drips aegis... honestly... what i see it, still a bit inconsisitent on size, inconsistent overlaps... you should be rocking 3d even if you suck at it cause thats how youre gonna get good, and you should be training 3d's as your learning the simples so your the same amount of progression across the line... just my take on it...
  13. nah i wouldnt bother with color yet define... i mean you could for giggles, but then all the time you spent doing that could be spent drawing more... those simples arent bad at all, what your doing here is learning what makes a letter... foundations for letters, also spacing... i get my spacing from years of graphic design you just develop a sense of where things are that look good to you, like parrallel parking a car, you know? i see you have issues with curves. keep at those, again graph paper might help to train your hand to eye... oh and define!! i still see sizing differences from left to right... not to harp, just a point out, kid look at the size of the d compared to everything else, then look at the N the same way
  14. whoa... this is contrary to how i learned, again from a guy who doesnt use a computer you know he just took me oput and made me paint over and over and over nothing really, just bullshit words, anything... my drawing got better just from that. now i draw with the idea of how a can moves, not a pencil which is wholly different... pet... your not the first person to do designs man, but i dont see your name in that thing... for me its not my thing, looks like a rave flyer no one has put the dj names on yet but thats just me... if your into that check out guys like rockgroup, legz, and even corail back two pages freaknyc i think did a piece on a metal box i think. pg 13.. man metal is my favorite medium kid, but alot of people say its the hardest to paint, especially corrugated box like that. learn on the hard, hurdle the easy. heh oh and just cause that lines is awesome straight up on rocking a c in graff class haha... theres the bell for lunch
  15. define... well dude that d is from i dont know where, some other style the n is decidedly bubble everything else is closer to one consistent style, the two e's, the i, and the f yoiur getting bigger as you go left to right i noticed too some kids use graph paper you might use it to try to help train your hand to stay within boundaires, the same goes for paint... use bricks to plan things out, i do it in my head but thats just me.. one thing i notice though is that some things i see getting thrown around this board are talked about like strict rules... i think abate on 710... someone told him not to connect the letters. thats some personal style shit... cause i thought it looked great. The point is it definitley isnt a rule, at least not for someone with that much skill. the point is know your boundaries i guess. if you cant pull off wildstyle you shouldnt try. if you cant do a simple, then dont go for more... your gonna suck at everything the first time you do it, paint, wilds, ice skating, etc.. then again, lots has already been done, theres nothing wrong with pushing limits, trying things people say are stupid, thats art man, literally , this isnt classical drawing with professor bill where if it isnt in the textbook its not right either.. graff wouldnt exist if somwhere along the way someone said oh thats not right, and they listened for me, i never really noticed that these boards existed... i mean... till a year ago about... i'm taught by a guy whose never even owned a computer, where sketches are just rough guides for paint. if you hit a blackbook then you color, otherwise its just something you can see easily in the dark so can paint it... its all for paint... the point is that this is simply unfamiliar to me in this way. we plan colors in the head... im not great either... still learning myself but.. i'm not new to art, and i know what looks good to me, so.. you just have to keep a fresh mind too, some stuff i see is great but completely bitten, which is fine but then, is boring... again some people hate graff, or davinci, or whatever, doesnt mean it doesnt look like art to you
