here's the story:
last week at school, i get pulled out of last period and taken into my principals office. upon entering i noticed two guys standing there wearing trench coats. they tell me they are taking me into the station for questioning regarding "recent incidents on the highways"
i agree to leave with them, and im thinking to myself "i havnt done graffiti for 2 years, so this is probably about someone else" which is true, i havnt done graffiti in 2 years.
it was a stupid thing to do, but i admitted that i use to write graffiti. on the car ride to the station, i told both detectives what i use to write, and that i quit graffiti because im getting on with the rest of my life.
when i get out of the detective takes my bookbag, and in the bag i have a lot of sketches of old throw ups and shit i do during class when im bored.
so i get to the station, and one detective leaves and one brings me into a questioning room. the whole time he treated me with respect.
but this is where i start to get real nervous, he asks me why i think im there. i told him that word on the street is that a lot of people are getting bagged in my area. i told him i heard so and so got locked up and is in jail ect ect. and i told him i figured u wanted to question me if i knew any information about some writers or something.
then he pulls out a folder, and proceeds to show me pictures that i myself have taken of my own graffiti. there are about 30 pictures in total with trains and walls from different cities. he asks me if they are infact me who did them. not knowing what to say, i admitted to it. he got all the pictures from this site, among a few others. he also had some pictures of me and posts i made on another non-graffiti related website as evidence. im guessing they tracted my IP address. my advice to everyone is if ur serious about this graffiti shit, not to post pictures on the internet of your own shit.
he gave me a photoalbum full of flicks and asked if i knew any of the writers and their names. i told him no everytime he asked. he also kept suggesting that i set up an old bombing parter because they have been trying to catch him since hes been doing alot of damage latly. i didnt agree to it. he also told me this same kid snitched on me, but im pretty sure they are bullshitting so i can hate him and turn him in. they already know who he is and where he lives, but they want me to set him up so they can catch him red handed in the act. im not doing that shit.
he had me sign my initials on all the pictures, and write a statement. in the statement i admitted to doing all the graffiti in the pictures they had. i also wrote that i have no been doing graffiti for 2 years since that time period and am saving money to go to college. i also have been admitted to several schools already with scholarships.
in the end, i was fingerprinted, got my mug shot, and was given 5 court appearances, all in different cities which the graffiti was done. 3 of the court appearances were on the same day, and the other 2 also on the same day.
im currently going through the process of reschedualing the court dates so i can appear on all the days. i cannot afford to get my own lawyer. so far, i plan on getting court appointed lawyers for each case.
tomorrow is my first appearance, in a city where they only have one count of graffiti for me, but the court is very uptight because its a rich area.
i have 20 counts in total. 15 in one city (which i was already caught in before, but the case was sealed) 2 in another city, and 1 in each of the other three.
i know its long, and its dumb asking advice about this on a forum, but i need to vent. i quit writting and im moving on with my life. and it just really sucks that this is happening to me now that i stopped.
another important part- i was a minor when i did the graffiti they are charging me for, but now im 18.
any help is appreciated, i just want to get all this shit over with so i can move on with my life already. im hoping the cases dont drag on into the summer, and i dont want to be caught doing community service into next school year, since theres a chance i may be going away for college.
