How simple should I start? I always want to try and go complex on my shit, can someone post one or two examples of how simple I should try to start off.

second piece I did, first time I colored.

This is my first piece and I need some conscructive criticism on how to improve it as I know it's not done, and also simple color scheme ideas that I can shade in with a pencil.

FUCK THE BUFF. This dudes a oinker trying to get some advice... I think the only way is to resand it and then restain your floor unless you wanna replace the whole section of that floor.
