  2. Re: Graphic Designer Wanted! You're on the right forum, everyone here is a graphic designer or tattoo artist nowadays.
  3. Does this happen every year? I wish I would have known about it in advance, I would have gone for sure. I fucking love Memphis, was there this past May and had a blast. I'm thinking about going back in two weeks, anything good happening the 23rd through the 29th? Oh, and nice pictures!

I'm not a huge Vin Diesel fan either, but I really liked Babylon A.D. I straight up love post apocalyptic films. Anyone have any suggestions?
  5. Re: Travel Log - 2011 - USA Centrailia is fucking awesome, I was there two weeks ago with the intentions of making a photo thread and sharing with channel 0, but left my camera battery at home. Next time. Nice thread dude, I'm really envious of you right now - wish I had the balls to pack up and leave to do something similar.
  6. Also, what I remember from the places you're talking about going to/through, is that there is some pretty lonely stretches of highway where someone might not pick you up. For a long time.
  7. Dude, go for it. You're going to be with someone else, so the "getting eaten/raped" factor goes down. That's all bullshit anyway, unless you were maybe a young single female travelling alone. I think you're going to find that after 8 hours of sitting on the highway in the rain/snow/cold/heat etc., that hitchhiking isn't as cool as you thought and that Greyhound ticket isn't all that expensive after all. But you're young, you only live once.

Nice ride! Count, what kind of touring set-up do you have? I've been backpacking like crazy on the Appalachian Trail for a good part of the summer and I'd really like to combine that with bicycling next summer, apparently where I live (Pennsylvania) is a great place for touring, I see folks coming through all summer and most of the fall.
  9. Didn't some people from this forum sign up for that place a few years ago and troll the hell out of those people?
  10. Not for nothing d00d, but that was in 1970. Kraftwerk released Autobahn in 1974 for instance. Not to mention fucking Disco. So was Jim Morrison that much of a music visionary, or were the seeds of all that already sown in 1970? Nonetheless, cool link.
  11. I got time to kill, so why not. The Clean are also one of my favorites, surprised there's been no mention of them or any of the other amazing New Zealand bands in that vein. Anything Could Happen: At The Bottom ( one of my favorite songs): http://youtu.be/M2IgHU252bg Platypus: http://youtu.be/8M9pBdxuEFc I Can't Stand It: Quickstep Live (this isn't the version I was looking for, the one that's on their anthology absolutely floored me, this doesn't compare): I'm pretty pissed I missed out on them last time they came to the States. Maybe I'll do a Chills post next.
  12. Anyone into The Swell Maps? I've been listening to them a ton lately, awesomeness. Let's Build a Car: Midget Submarines: Chupacabra, props on The Sleaze, love that shit. Also, The Breeders fucking rock. I've had a CD in my car that I put Last Splash and Mountain Battles on, hasn't left in a few years. While I'm in here, anyone Soft Boys fans? They've slowly elevated themselves to one of my top three bands over the years, which is funny, when I first listened to Underwater Moonlight I didn't really get them. I get it now. Over You: Underwater Moonlight: (I Want To Be An) Anglepoise Lamp: Leave Me Alone: Tonight:

What Fist said. Fuck putting your money into a track bike/"fixie", you'll get much more use and enjoyment out of a solid road bike. I'd be willing to wager that if you bought those wheels instead and years down the road bought a geared road bike you wouldn't even use the other bike any longer. Not to start fixed-gear bashing, but the three times I rode one I hated every minute of it and felt mad unsafe. Single speeds I get, like if you're just cruising around the city or whatever, but lets face it dude, you live in Maryland and even Baltimore isn't exactly all flat lands. The terrain I ride on is pretty close to where you're at and I would hate to go on any ride over ten miles on a single speed. It's awesome to be able to haul ass DOWN a hill as well as comfortably climb up one.

That's actually a pretty good deal in my opinion, if it was a 60 cm frame I'd take the drive down and cop it. Go for it.
  15. Anyone into home developing? Tips, tricks, etc.?
  16. Holy shit that video was amazing, I'm kind of in shock right now. So much is wrong with that, I don't even know where to begin.
  17. This, Crown Fried Chicken or New York Fried Chicken. Come on Earl, I thought you were better than this. If Swamp's co-signing it, you know it's good.

  19. I had a subscription to Big Brother when, I'm assuming Hustler/Larry Flynt took over. Instead of getting my monthly copy of Big Brother, they sent me a copy of Hustler's Taboo which was fucking awesome. Best prank ever, hands down. I was living with my Grandmother at the time and she told me I had a magazine that came in the mail and I'm standing there talking to her and I opened it up in front of her. Talk about akward.
  20. What do you guys know about Topcon cameras? There's several on my local craigslist now.

Fuck, that sucks! Does your building have cameras? When I first got into cycling a few years ago, I had my first "nice" bike stolen in broad daylight on the busiest street of my city while I was shown an apartment for all of 20 minutes. Shitty feeling for sure. 60 mile ride tomorrow. It was 94 degrees with 84% relative humidity today. Tomorrow will be worse. I fucking hate Pennsylvania summers sometimes.
