Storm Appeal Torrential rain and strong winds hit Rockingham in the early hours of last night. Victims were seen wandering around aimlessly, flannies soaked, woollen trackies sagging, muttering 'Faaackinell'. Flood waters devastated the area causing approximately $30 worth of damage. Three areas of historic burnt out cars were disturbed. Many locals were woken well before their Centrelink cheques arrived. Rescue workers are still searching through the rubble and have found large quantities of personal belongings, including Health Care Cards, Jewellery from Kmart and Bone China from Big W. HOW CAN YOU HELP? This appeal is to raise money for food and clothing parcels for those unfortunate enough to be caught up in this disaster. Clothing is most sought after - items most needed include: flannelette Shirts, tight blue jeans or spandex, singlets (blue & white) white sport socks, Ugg boots, hoodies and any other items usually sold in Priceline or The Reject Shop. Food parcels may be harder to come by, but are needed all the same. Required foodstuffs urgently needed include: Microwave meals, Baked Beans, Ice cream, Sarah Lee Frozen Cheesecakes, Chips, all Fizzy drinks, Wagon Wheels, Tim Tams, Coco Pops and Fruit Loops. No Diet Coke Donations of $25.00 will be taken to buy a packet of Winny blue 25s and a lighter and cans of Jim Beam to calm the nerves of those affected.

I'm actually surprised that they even bothered to tell people about it, let alone shout it from the rooftops like it was a success. They are clearly somehow trying to justify the extra graffiti task force members by the weak amount of arrests they've made - funny though, they say most are twenty five or older in their own statement, “These people are not just nuisance criminals…they are young men in their mid 20s causing enormous damage to our infrastructure.” “They are committing a multitude of other offences, burglary, motor vehicle theft,” Ast-Com Brown said. ....but, if you actually read their official statement from 2011 for the GoodbyeGraffiti campaign, they clearly state; • 2005—2009 data indicates that 46% of graffi ti damage and related offences were committed by males aged 14 to 16 years, and overall, around 75% of offenders are under 18 years of age.
