  1. ^^SG-7's are long gone... There was a few flicks floating around, but to be honest, I have never found one. They ARE discontinued but I know some cats that have them as collector items only. Dope marker.
  2. Bullshit... You've been around the game for a long time, writing or not. This is all one big game, and not one person makes the rules. It's majority rule and you can't fight everyone to get justice. You are no rookie. And crews hold this game together. Bump MC...

    Kuma!

Did you hear KUMA was killed in a ganster Drama movie about the internet Super Thread!!! Bump the Youth that is also in the movie! NYC/RVS holla!
  4. ^^Fuck yes. Get that Heroc bullshit out of here.
  5. Post this in the Marker thread. Those are so dope! Did you find the flick or are they yours? Do those those tips come off and expose a large tube with steel roller ball on the end? Nice find!
  6. ^^You are correct sir. It's a leather dye. It also happens to be the dopest, non graffiti, tool for writing from the moment that you open it. Go a page or two back for flicks.
  7. Water Mark you flicks, or don't post them on the internet. People are going to jack them.
  8. That's it! The t-shirt fabric will eventually start to wear thin and holes will start to happen, usually in the center of the nib. If this happens be sure to replace the cloth. Once you have a small hole in the t-shirt, then the foam nib can get pulled out and you don't want that to happen. The foam nib is essential because it gets saturated with all the ink you need to do 2 maybe 3 big tags. Lose the foam and you lose the amount of available ink in your nib. The t-shirt think makes the nibs last forever! Glad it worked out.
  9. ^^Co-signed. Take the non-related talk to the PM or CH.0... if you dare! HerbKB - No one thinks you're gay. Except for Skag, but he's an asshole anyway... Which is why I like that he is on here all the time. Contrast is good. I'm an asshole half the time. Don't take this internerd stuff too seriously. It's just 1's and 0's. That's it.
  10. ^^Good Point. No more Etch talk. It's doesn't belong here.

^^Yeah I was thinking the same time, but he might be cooling out with Rime when he's in town and wanted to fuck with that style. I have to admit that it's an incredibly simple style that is really hard to do. I would match this effort with that Barnum and Bailey car that K did. 3 of the worst colors possible and he still made it work out... Messy, but working.
  12. Looks like a huge front moving in...
  13. Wow... That's MQUE from NYC. Not me, but I do respect the man's ability to completely destroy any scene that he is in. He crushed parts of the westcoast just because. Not a lot of NYC that will do that. But that's a whole other conversation. яέмίx: Here is my Recipe for that paint mix... It's a link to the ink thread. Enjoy!
  14. Straight up Xylene will eat through plastic. When it's in a cleaner, like what you stated, it's diluted. You only need a little bit to make it work it's magic. That's why you only use a little in your mop mix so it doesn't eat the body of the marker. Just use straight xylene as a thinner. Works just fine.
  15. So the mop on the left is ink, and mop on the right is paint. With a good paint mix it works great! Ink excels with this method. Your lines are way cleaner and bigger this way. Great drips! Again, it's just a square of t-shirt material rubber banded over the nib and neck of the bottle. Just cut away the extra cloth. Good luck...
  16. Sorry to break it to you, but it's just the ink in the metal. Like a stain, but really it just the ink that seeped into the metal grooves. That's normal for metal. Not a ghost. Looks like good ink to me though.
  17. Wrap a square of t-shirt fabric around the nib and rubber band it down... kinda snug. Makes your nib last forever. I will post a flick of mine later. The t-shirt material is cheap, available, and it lets you mark on rough porous surfaces that would normally destroy the foam nib. Good luck...
  18. Jake: Next time you make that mop, or any mop that uses felt stuffed in it, you can use Self Vulcanizing Tape. Think of it like a tape that, once it's wrapped around part of the body and then part of the nib, has a chemical reaction when the tape overlaps itself. When the tape is doubled over itself it begins to shrink, or tighten, and bond to itself. It's heat, chemical, and water resistant. And it's no toxic. It will hold the nib in place and get rid of any leaks that might exist between the nib and rim of the mop. Check it out. It's not cheap, but it does work. This tape was discussed about 100 pages back. Just search "vulcanizing tape." GARY: Yes. The DED mops do have a specially picked Mo-hair nib. Android was right. Most different mops, that look the same, have different nibs. Good luck...
  19. Totally true. The chalky white stuff is the leftover acid burnt window. The more the of the white chalky stuff, that can be easily wiped off, the deeper they etch has actually burned. Just think of the white chalky as the ash after a fire. Kinda the same thing. Just the bath alone will not really get the white ash. It burns only a small amount and leaves the window hazy, or fogged over. This type of etch (the Bath) can be repaired in some cases but the cream does major destruction. Hope that explained it better.
  20. You're fine, but it's a in the future kinda thing. The Cream burns more than the Bath. When you mix them, you get drips but a lot of it just sits and works longer than normal. Nasty stuff if that's what you are trying to do. You should be fine on the flicks. All I was saying was don't self promote etching on a public website. IP addresses tell more than you think. Good luck...
  21. 20: When you mix the Etch Bath with the Etch cream it has a thicker consistency and stays on the window longer than with just the bath. It's actually REALLY dangerous to people walking by that might touch it while it's still wet. More Etch means more burnt window causing the white. That white stuff can be scraped off easily. But you still have a super deep etch. Thirst: I tape up that mop so that if I don't have time to stash it in my pocket I can just make a fist. You wont see a black mop in my hand, but you will see a bright white one.
  22. It doesn't matter what YOU know or think. I know that it's easy for ME to figure out, so it's easy for the wrong people to figure out as well. Personally I don't subscribe to "Nice Bikes." But thanks for the pointless comment.
  23. ^^Digging these straights so much. That R is super tough... Nice!
  24. It's probably best if you guys take those flicks down, or at least don't express any personal involvement. It's bad for you and the site. Lot's of local PD's are taking etch really seriously and they are totally on the internet. I doubt that any enforcement agents are on this thread, but they are totally on this site... that's for sure. And using etch is one small step down from breaking the window, with a brick that has your tag on it, because only a small percent of etched windows can be repaired. So while graffiti IS illegal, for the most part it can be buffed out. Local PD's are taking etch as a serious criminal offense because of the cost to replace a 4x10 foot plate of glass. $$$. I am not, never have been and will never be, a cop. I am not associated with any enforcement agency against anything... except for bike thieves. Steal a bike, I steal you in your grill. Word up.
