  1. wheres the damn edit button?! that should be 'posercorpse' not 'posercrusher' fingers obviously move faster than the brain at 2am
  2. Cool thread, hoped it would of inspired more vinylphiles to air their wares... Anyway, heres whats sitting next to my turntable at the moment - mrs has the digicam so had to use the camera on my phone i'll counter that Dead Kennedys EP with this Rebelles Europeen classic!!! 14/88 Now heres what I consider the holy grail of speed metal, rare as hell and worth every one of the 400 or so dollars it'll set you back Rare Pusmort pressing of another killer album - Pusmort being Pushead's private label (Pushead -> Metallica, COC, Hirax, SOD, 9ShockTerror artist) Recent haul of Metallica bootlegs Norwegian KVLT album - original Posercrusher Recs. pressing, for 1000 bucks its yours A few to make blood fart wavy blood fart - whats a man gotta do to get a mosaic of this image shipped to Australia?? And for the SOMA worshippers... One of my favourite looking vinyls, Imperium's 1996 EP, first press was limited to 500, this one here is limited to only 60 copies - artwork is by Stephen O'Malley Sunn 0))) / Khanate / Locust Eaters...
  3. yeah they are magic (especially on my JS) i can go to town on the tremolo all day but when some retard you're jammin wants to finish up by belting out a few carcass covers everything turns to shit real quick! yeah, bloke i know fitted one to his jackson kelly, cool add-on but that "chaos-ad era sepultura drop d" shit is for poofs.
  4. if it can take the headache out of a lo-pro edge then gimme one...oh and if R&D are reading this how about a self calibrating truss rod too, maybe hydraulic action and self tuning intonations...and power gloves that take a memory stick with all your favourite songs on so your hands magically dance across the frets and nail every note......yeah power gloves, they'd be sweet.
  5. i've been dicked a couple of times on LPs which turn out to be bootlegs and not the original as described - the glory of heavy metal is the bootleg usually ends up being worth 10x more than the original a few years later. paypal works in favour of the buyer most of the time, think you only have about 40 days to lodge the claim tho. had a bonehead buy LPs from me once and falsely claim they never arrived then try to get his money back, thing is he was stupid enough to blab about it in a pub and word got back to me (cheers to the melbourne metalions!), came to a friendly settlement, drop the claim or i'll drop him down a flight of stairs...streethrashin justice ftw.
  6. Confucius say is ok to meet girl in park but better to park meat in girl
  7. Re: Best Man (nohomo) Speech I like to start off confident like so: " good evening everyone, I'm <insert name>.....and i AM the best man " <raise eyebrow, nod gently and pause while they digest that fact>
  8. DIO w/Heaven & Hell = one of the best gigs this year!
  9. Angeles Del Infierno are from Spain NOT Mexico!!! (...and Pacto Con El Diablo, Diabolica & 666 are all ungodly albums!)
  10. Some dude listed NewZealand for sale on Australian eBay once, no reserve, low start price, classiiiiic!
  11. pfff 'hursty'..pffff 'dimo' - fuckin yobs and their stupid town name abbreviations, i bet you say elfum too.
  12. PORTRAIT [swe] demo tape killer demo! 3 tks of dirty heavy metal, eurometal with nwobhm undertones, definitely recommended for all mercyful fate fans, has a killer king diamond vibe in the vocals (just darker & minus the falsetto)
  13. i was in my backyard one night and could see my neighbours 15/16 year old daughter going down on one of her girlfriends in her bedroom. .....they say 15 gets you 20, doesn't apply if you're just watching from a distance right?
  14. no sorry, motörhead are not metal - ask any motörheadbanger and they will confirm that lemmy has never declared motörhead a metal band, always a rock'n'roll band. they were too late for the nwobhm, too tight for punk and not heavy enough for metal when they kicked off, they share an equal fanbase from punks and metalheads alike but stand alone, unparalelled, and king of the stinking heap...they are also without doubt the loudest fucken live band you will ever experience. ok, sing along if you know the words: speed don't kill and i'm the proof, just call me snaggletooth!
  15. so far today: • Nocturnal Graves - Satans Cross (advanced tape/rehearsal) • Ignivomous - Path of Atrition demo • Possessed - Seven Churches • Armour - Sonichouse Tapes (killer W.A.S.P worship by the fag from Satanic Warmaster) • Gospel of the Horns (advanced tape 'Realm of the Damned') • Accept - Restless & Wild • Deathstrike - Fuckin' Death • Sacrificial Blood - Toxic Zombies • Skrewdriver - Blood & Honour • Würm - Hogs Breath Stench • Necros Christos/Teitanblood split 7" • Sadistic Intent - Morbid Faith 7" • Destroyer 666 - Satanic Speed Metal 7" ...............death metal came in the wind
  16. melbourne boy born & bred - not being biased but melbourne is king of the heap, cost of living isn't nearly as high as Sydney and wages are comparable, huge Italian/Greek population so food & cafe culture is a major drawcard. definitely a european feel to melbourne, my mrs lived in deutschland & uk and can attest to these claims...not as picturesque but its a calmer existence to the hustle of sydney melbourne is the smallest state on the mainland too so you've got less distance to travel and see both sides of aus. (being the metropolis and the rural outback.) i work in prepress/printing and pull a good enough wage to pay a mortgage and still buy more vinyl than i have time to listen to. commuting is easy enough, public transport is relatively reiable..... seems to be plenty of teaching gigs but in the more remote areas. and much of a muchness = much the same / 6 of 1, half a dozen of the other...basically sweet FA difference between the two .....best walls in melbourne too!!!
  17. used this in my once long mephistophelian goatie during my 'theatrical satanist i'm dark & kvlt so don't fuck with me' phase.....its good stuff.
  18. Di'Anno over Dickenson for me. Bruce IS the human air raid siren but the older Maiden has a better feeling (soundhouse tapes, demos, s/t are hard to beat!) Riggs was definitely better before he started using photoshop, my bedroom walls were a shrine to him in the 80ies...would still be if my wife didn't call the shots. Best covers are (in no particular order): •Live After Death •Somewhere in Time •Piece of Mind •Number of the Beast •Seventh Son of a Seventh Son •Running Free EP (first press, not the live '85 version) •Stranger in a Strange Land •The Trooper (maxi single) •Aces High (maxi single) a wild looking triptych are the maxi singles for: •Evil That Men Do •The Clairvoiant •Can I Play With Madness a special mention also for the Destiny-Atomic Winter cover which is not bad work either. ...and since we're talking Maiden, get this, I sold a 12" single of Wasted Years last week on Jewbay for $160AUD, in a DJ Sleeve too mind you not even in the P/S. Maiden diehards are among the biggest vinyl maniacs on the planet!!! (just search youtube for the band 'NIFELHEIM' and check out Tyrant & Hellbutchers insane Maiden collection!!!) - SUPPORT THE VINYL SOLUTION -
  19. Ha yeah Unique's old gig - yeah that 'knights of the underground table' album definitely wasn't the worst thing I ever heard, plenty of graff references and a rough'n'ready fuck-you attitude on that one. I think there were a few others here in Aus around that same era that were into writing like IQ, Mama's Funk, Mr.E & Bretheren...never really got into the music side of shit, i was and (and still am) a street thrashin metalhead if you're not a metalhead, you might as well be dead! – piledriver
  20. auto spare parts stores and shoe repairers - good selection of colours usually from either of these two places ...oh and those little $2special asian bazaars often have cheap gold/chrome/black/red/white, cheap and nasty but good for practice.
