i hear you on nullification, the state of our nation today is exactly why jefferson first proposed it. unfortunetly your average citiczen..( i think i butchered that word) is far too preoccupied with who know's what to even find the time to vote decent individuals into office much less pressure their leaders into action. lets face it they have built a system of control based on distraction. for some its comfort and liesure that dissuades action. and for others its just the everyday act of life and survival. the powers that be are counting on the comfortable to not rock the boat, who's gonna ruin a sweet deal, (not that i think there is anything sweet about things right now) and the strugglers to be so focused on their 60 hour work week that they're too burnt out to cry out. the federal government was never meant to be an all encompassing power over the land, it was originally inted for forieghn affairs and some large scale domestics...each state was to be responsible for its own affairs. somewhere along the line they just started passing off responsibilitys...maybe its time we remind our fearless leaders who exactly gives them the power they wield like a 12 year old with his daddy's gun

i'll concede the vans history,, but they just aren't impressing me as of late....not that my aproval means anything don't worry i know this. ANd as far as styles versus brands i feel you. i can admit sometimes i get narrow minded when it comes to nike because of how directly it effects my boys shop....those shoes are paying his bills and keeping a scene alive out here. i should remember that its probably an isolated incident and i'm blessed by certain circumstances. And in recognition of fact...i am being a whore and i'm sorry, well sorry whoreing nike and not my boy's shop.........SKATE LAIR in enfield ct check it for real.. all kinds of styles you won't find anywhere else, evrey NIKE, VOX, EMERICA, LAKAI, DVS, ES, and even those lil stevie REEBOCKS... thanks for changing this toy's perspective

oh yeah who do think are sewing up your VANS, the sweat shop down the block from NIKE none of those huge company's are sin free when it comes down to it

I know it sounds funny hailing nike as skateboarding's saving grace but hear me out. A couple of years ago some people went to nike and laid a proposal to the suits for a new sb program. they pretty much got them to hand over millions of dollars wich is being put back into shops. you won't find 99% of the sb line in anything other than PRIVATELY owned stores or online. I buy mine exclusivly at my boy's shop in ct not the mall. So essentialy they're useing the huge company to keep a lot of small buissnes's afloat. You find me a skate shoe company that won't buckle and flood the malls i'll rep it, till then give me the skate shop specific swoosh.....besides those tiny little hands stitch such masterful work

i'm sure if i didn't skate i would feel fine rocking vans, but the fact of the matter is that nike believe it or not is the only shoe program truly supporting skate shops. i can't get behind a company that will whore itself to anyone with a check book. ps, fuck pharrell and his ice creams! and as far as variety, i got it....from dunks to p- rods to blazers to fc's ect ect... i can't help it if i love the swoosh...lakai is tight to
