  1. The letters look more like Alert. Dunno about the bitten character though. Truly shameless, but given it's a commission by 'Graffiti Kings', it isn't surprising. One good thing about graffiti is the lack of intellectual property law, but this is commercial artwork and I think it'd be right to fuck em in court for it. It'd be open and shut.
  2. I agree it's not funny, but look in the top right to see why it qualifies for this thread.
  3. Cheers. If only I had that info before I started appreciating Lush's pieces for their wit, originality and tendency to provoke people I don't like (for instance people who look at pieces and make assumptions about the width of the artist's jeans or their preferred bicycle gearing method).
  4. Thread needs that Moses wholecar. I can't find a flick online but it's in 'Action Painting Bringing Art To The Trains'. As is this:
  5. Yeah, and a lot of other 80s styles. I love the way he pays tribute to old conventions and then adds a shitload of his own originality.
  6. Sure he's heavily influenced by Horphe, but personally I think he puts in more than enough of his own ideas to justify the appreciation he's getting here.
  7. My German-speaking girlfriend's translation: "der die das ( the 3 main words for the) wer wie was wieso weshalb warum (all mean why) then it goes 'he who doesn't paint stays stupid, there are thousands of colourful pictures to see, people must sometimes ask/question to understand"
  8. Saw some graphics in one of the spoof trailers in the movie 'Tropic Thunder' that I could swear must have been Todd James. Anyone else catch these or can confirm they were by him?
  9. Good work! Some cool styles and nice to see all that N&G stuff.
  10. Manchester legend Cell DCSK in Iraq... http://www.flickr.com/photos/40340970@N03/
  11. Well personally, I find it pretty boring too, but I wouldn't front on the quality of it. What I'm wondering is, what does this gerpp2 clown like?
  12. You're really upset about this aren't you? Good luck with the crusade.
  13. That's quite possibly true. Simple solution, stop repeating yourself. I'm not sure you've thought that one through. Your crusade for conservative graffiti style might not be in your best interests. Say they are 'all city' or whatever, and they're more prolific than you. Warring with them is just going to reduce the life of your stuff. Exactly. Like a lot of silly names that some idiots like to give to styles (with 'Euro' being the silliest example), they're impossible to define. And does the term 'trendy' graffiti apply to those who started the trends (eg Karl)?
  14. Anyone got all of this wall?
  15. We're all so impressed that you're aware of a German graffiti magazine called Graffiti Magazine that we'll forgive what a complete fucking penis you're acting right now.
  16. Re: MELBOURNEGRAFFITI.com I can 100% guarantee that if you aren't just trolling you do actually paint, that a) what you paint is tiresome dogshit, b) that you have little overall knowledge of graffiti and c) that you're capable of staying awake in the FX crew thread.
  17. Re: MELBOURNEGRAFFITI.com
  18. Re: MELBOURNEGRAFFITI.com I dunno, but judging by the few I've looked at here, their stuff just looks kinda boring to me. I certainly wouldn't call it hate. Each to their own. Anyway, here's all the Carl stuff that I've collected and boosted the colours a little. I think most of them are from this thread and got lost in the crash. Thanks to the original posters.
  19. And here's some 80s Sheffield: Mist One, Such/Des and bunch of TDK.
  20. Nice thread, what's left of it! Shame most of the pics have gone. Couldn't believe it when the first pic of the thread had an oldie of mine in it. Definitely? 'Cause it looks more like a Style Starz/ARTcru (Shine/T-Roc, Tuf Tim & Easy) piece to me. Anyways, here's some Manchester shit from the late 80's that I've posted on another forum before, but fuck it. Shine/Tee-Roc: Easy, Tee-Roc: Easy: Lorde: Feud/Tak: Buck & Haze: Various TCS crew: Cell:
