    Whoops, Mike's question was "Who are the top 5 guys you would get tattooed by" not so much best in the world or something, so I considered availability and distance too. Notice that I named all dudes in the USA (GO AMERICA!).

     

    Anyway, fuck, 10 top? That's tough. I'm interested to see what menaceIIsobriety thinks... If I can guess, it'll be something like:

     

    1. Aaron Coleman

    2. Higgs

    3. Tim Lehi

    4. Danny Reed

    5. Richard Stell

    6. Bob Roberts

    7. Steve Byrne

     

     

    Blah... I bet I wasn't even close. The point is... There are so many good god damn tattooers out right now. I've always known that, and after reading KOH's "Open letter to tattooing" I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that.

     

     

    Will Lollie, Issac Fainjuken, Mario Desa, Horiyasu, Matt Shammah.... ugh... the list goes on and on.

    so based on the conversations in the latest tattoo age: who are the top 5 and top 10 tattooers?

     

     

    i know top anything lists always fail and are bound to forget or skip over something or someone important, but i'm curious to see what others here think.

    Ah, very good. I wondered that too. When Romano asked "name 9 tattooers better then Rubendall"... I thought to myself... "DAMN, that's tough as hell."

     

    I JUST tried to compile a top 10 list but it was ridiculous and too many names were left out. That's a really tough one... Give me like a day to think about this. And yes, Mike Roper is on that list. ;)

     

    Mike Shea asked me who my top 5 tattooers were when we were shooting the shit during my session, and needless to say, names were left out. I mentioned him and Erick were amongst my favorite so I didn't mention their names, which was understood. Ha. I think it went something like...

    2. Regino Gonzales

    3. Jeff Zuck

    4. Thomas Hooper

    5. Mike Wilson

     

    ^Not a bad list but so many names were left out, I think those were the last dudes I was following or something. Completely biased at the time.

    I never cared or really acknowledge his existence in the real world, like as a person, but wow that dude sounds like a bitch. I thought it was publicly known that he doesn't get up anymore?

    I like Scott Campbell. I skimmed through the video, at least it wasn't a how-to-build a machine from scratch. I'll watch the whole video later...

     

     

    This reminds me of the time I read that one of my favorite traditional tattooers tattooed 2 (or more) people with the same needle. Like whatttttt the fuck?
