and often humans, beings or creatures attacking me.
I think this is the most fucked up part. It hasn't happened in awhile but its happened to me a bunch of times. That first time i freaked the fuck out and thought there was someone in my room trying to fucking kill me. haha. man. and once it felt like a tentacle was wrapping around my leg and up around my body. FUCKED UP. Ive tried to explain it to people and theyve never had it happen so it sounds stupid to them i guess when you say some shit about a fucking phantom tentacle trying to crush you. but... fuck it. Lucky them!
I noticed someone up there said some shit about sleeping on your back..its happened when i was on my side on my stomach on my back. so i dunno about that.

haha the critical mass in my city averages around 7mph. i honestly don't think i can ride at that slow of a pace. it takes more effort for me to ride way slow rather than way fast. fuck all them hippies anyway.
i feel ya. i've been waiting for a wheel set to come in, shit said yesterday it was on the truck for delivery and i still haven't gotten it.
they allegedly tried to deliver it last thursday but i was home and they didnt leave a notice in the box or on the door. scheduled for redeliver yesterday..WHERES MY SHEEEEIIIITTT??
gonna go get postal on the postal workers if its not here today.
the first few times i went it was slower than i like to go but a decent pace for that many people who probably ride a bike once a month. seems to be down to like 10mph now and people are complaining about it being fast! psssh.

It's world naked bikeride. Hipster losers think it's liberating. I think it's poseur-fest, but I also feel the exact same way about critical mass. I wish they would just move back to whatever weird suburb they came from.
critical mass is kind of lame. its supposed to make people aware of bikes being out there on the street and being part of traffic and it just turns into 400 people following no traffic laws at all blowing through every light and stop sign while yelling shit at cars. i still go sometimes because i like riding with a lot of people like that its pretty fun. id be out riding either way. hell my bike ride to/from the starting point is 2-3x longer than the actual ride. haha.
i like bikes.
mailman better have my fuckingg bottom bracket today or there will be hellll to payyyyyyyy

i would love to open my car door as one of u fixed gear fags rode past.

silly ass shit. a bike is a fuckin bike. get over it.
some moron driving by me yesterday said FUCK FIXED GEARS. and i wasnt even on one. fuckin morons. haha

STOP CONVERTING PERFECTLY GOOD BIKES.

ok, so i am a bmx person. I know a little bit about road and track bikes, but just enough to not be ignorant. I have an old raleigh robin hood 3 speed that im rebuilding, but its not really very nice. i found this today in a spot for $20... its all stock and it was fuji's top of the line bike when it came out in 87. It has a SUNTOUR gear system and sugino cranks and is in brand new condition. Im not questioning the price cause its obviously a steal, but could this bike be easily enough modded into a single speed or would i be better suited in keeping it stock... OR should i keep my eyes peeled for a better road bike... Thanks for any and all help.
this isnt THE specific bike, but its the same model:
no easier or harder than any other similar road bike.
buy that shit son.

i'm no bike mechanic, but it seems they only come in sets for a reason.
also - they're only like 40bucks for the whole shatner.
i know i know. its not much money but id rather not spend it if i dont have to. probably gonna have to. ha.
this kid i know was talking about getting paint "for only a dollar" me and other guy wer elike..yeah but racking it is free.

any idea where i can get a 103mm spindle? i dont want to buy a whole new bb since theres nothing wrong with the bearings etc. If i have to then i have to... but i feel like there has to be someone or somewhere to get what im looking for.
i fucked my shit up. and i start going crazy after maybe a week with no bike. day 2.
any ideas? i can find spindles in other lengths but i can only seem to find the whole bb with 103mm.

I believe that is Mike Devries...and by no means is he a bad tattoo artist. At all.
i think that tattoo is in the right place.
who cares if the guy does good shit that tattoo is pretty gross looking.
i dont really like color portraits at all but thats not one of his standout moments.

I like to ride a road bike so I am biased. If I were planning on doing my riding at night exclusively I would seriously consider getting a mountain bike. Smaller obstacles can cause problems with skinny tires and I would think that mountain bike tires would be more forgiving.
You may find that you enjoy riding a bicycle and that you want something other than a trendy little toy, which, in my opinion is what fixed gear bikes are.
first time i rode around on a fixed bike was maybe 1988-89. it was a bmx. was i ahead of the curve? who knows? who cares?
haha. i know hipsters(this word has become pretty meaningless to me) galore ride the fuck out of fixed gears but everyone who rides one isnt some douchey fuck face. im just sayin...
im fat and old but my legs are strong enough to kick a hole through gods face.
ride a bike and shut the fuck up.

riding on sidewalks is retarded - someone is bound to get hurt.
learn to ride a bike at speed (with traffic) or stick to the 'multi-use paths'.
i hate it when im with someone and they spend 50% of the time on a sidewalk. what the fuck. we have mad bike lanes here so riding in the street isnt really a problem. makes no god damn sense.
ive been hit by cars riding on sidewalks because they arent looking.
-
i will say this...if you are not somewhat in shape...and havnt been riding lately....hopping on a fixed gear for the first time is not easy.
+5 for that.
before xmas it was 150+ miles a week which isnt that much but more than your average schmoe on a bike. didnt ride a bike for 2 months got a new bike and UH OH im exhausted after 20 fucking miles.
went for a 25 mile or so ride that first night and i was dead tired when i got home.
-
Not riding a bike for a little over 2 months then jumping on a fixed gear for the first time in a few years is kickin my ass a little bit. A lot.
Going half as far as Im used to feels like i went 5x more. Haha.
the dog in that video made me laugh a little too much.

I have a brooks now but i had a piece of shit from of piece of shit bike that was more comfortable. ive only had the brooks for about a month so i guess i need to give it some time to break in.
i think it comes down to how much you ride. you can ride 4 or 5 miles and it wont matter if youre sitting on a fuckin 2x4 wrapped in a sweatshirt like a crackhead. but if youre talkin about 40 or 50 miles you know that might make a difference.
