  1. Re: NYC Subways - the good stuff jack stewart is a good resource for firsts. he credits tracy with the first character which was snoopy in 1974. the first non letter throw up...not sure. quik is a good one but im sure someone did it before him. if im not mistaken sach was rocking the lightning bolt during RTW's reign on MTA in the early - mid 80s. sometimes with his letters, sometimes without. id be curious to know that myself. roach and mirage were the ones who did it big with the icons in my day. that dude roach was a beast on the letters. icon graff at its best. worthy of note also is them MPC faces when they had war with TFO on the numbers. Ed & Odin are the ones i remember most.
  2. the walthers catalog is pretty insane. definite wish list type shit. and yes Kadee has the market locked on conversion kits. bought some the other day.

  6. better yet: "europe trains: so easy, even a european can do it" "europe paint: makes graffiti so easy, even europeans can do it"
  7. Re: NYC Subways - the good stuff ITS AMAZING HOW MANY PHOTOS OF SUBWAYS ARE AROUND...BUT WHATS MORE AMAZING IS HOW MUCH STUFF WAS NOT PHOTOGRAPHED OR DOCUMENTED. ALTHOUGH A LOT OF THESE PHOTOS I HAVE NEVER SEEN, I KNOW THIS IS JUST A FRACTION OF IT ALL. SO MUCH THAT GOT DISSED, BUFFED, COVERED BEFORE IT EVEN RAN ETC. SHITS INSANE BUT THIS THREAD IS SLAMIN.
  8. this arguement is stupid, lame and without merit. the guy who created this thread is either dumb as a bag of nails, some toy from europe that recently watched style wars and cant move past that, or someone consious of both and started this thread for shits and giggles. if it is not the ladder, then as a toy you are perhaps you should learn more about this AMERICAN cultre before you make febile attempts to dis it. europen writers get props for doing what they do. no question. and american writers who rock freights get equally, if not more props for rocking freights. if you dont live here then you cant understand this freight shit so just leave it there. descended down to a scene that paints (mostly crappy) pieces on rolling garbage cans.... and for the record, even though i give europe writers props for rocking the trains in their countries, and i love their paint. no europe writer will ever be able to touch the likes of Dondi, or Sent, or Kwest. and no belton or montana will ever be able to hang with a can of gloss black rusto and a can of harbor blue. just like the latest wutang album will never be better than the first one. common fucking sense dude. c'mon.
  9. pretty in pink~ this is the first time i have been able to find a prototype with the same reporting marks as a model.
