  1. Re: TEAM ALCO

I just bought ingredients for home-brew today. I'll probably be starting the batch later today or sometime tomorrow.

    I'm fully siked.

  2. I played about half way through God of War II before my ps2 broke for a final time.

It was everything I expected and more. But on the whole, it raises some serious questions about my mental health. There is one scene where you slam some dude's head in a door multiple times and there is an extreme amount of gore. I began to laugh immediately.

Is that an appropriate response to such a scene?

    Whatever, I don't really care.

  3. Messing around with the laser some more did it.

I cleaned it, then re-positioned it a little bit more. Now it reads all my games, but still not DVDs. I'm not too concerned about it not reading DVDs since I've never once watched a movie using the ps2. I figure I'm not going to suddenly start now.

To celebrate, I went out and rented God of War II. I had to go to three movie stores to find it, but it was worth it.

    Shit's hectic.

  4. God of War II made me fix my PS2.

    It's reading games again, kinda.

It'll read MGS II and it will read that GT3 and We <3 Katamari is in the system, but it won't actually play the latter two of the three games. Also, it won't read DVDs for some reason, which is bizarre as I thought PS2 games were basically DVDs. Anyone know what's up?

I'm gonna try foolin' with the laser some more to fix it.

  5. Re: UFC 68

I saw it. Went a wings place with a little lady and a bunch of friends.

Not really into UFC, but even I had a ton of fun.

Couture came out of retirement for it and beat the hell out of Silvia.

There was one finght I didn't like where the dudes spent the majority of their time on the ground making out.

Not what I came to see.

  6. Re: TEAM ALCO

I stopped drinking really heavily for a while (none of my friends were as good at it as I was) and then I went to Australia.

Well, for a month, I stayed with a friend that I used to drink like a madman with (is there a way to make this sentence less awkward?). I got back up to god-like status during this trip, but now that I'm back at home, I've got no one to drink with like that.

But I still drink, almost daily. It depends on if I have responsibilities or not, but usually I don't.

  7. Re: Shit The Shit The Shit The Shit The Shit Thread

I just read about the car door lock OCD a few pages back and I got to admit that I got it bad.

I'll walk 5 minutes away from my car almost all the way to class and if I can't remember visually confirming that my doors were locked, I'll walk all the way back to the car just to make sure. That doesn't happen very often, but it has happened on more than one occaision in the past.

You could try pretty much anything with Thom Yorke's name attached to it. He did a cool song with Unkle called "Rabbit in Your Headlights," very melancholy. But you probably already knew that.

I would say Iron & Wine, but you don't like guitar (at all?). Does it make any difference if it definitely doesn't count as rock?

Certain Aphex Twins songs have that kind of feel to it. I can't think of any really, but Aphex Twin has made about a million songs, so some have to exist.

How do you feel about spinning?

Kid Koala does some pretty cool chill stuff.

I really don't think I'm headed in the right direction.

Something like Radiohead that isn't Radiohead. That's a really tough one.

I'm gonna marinate on it for a bit. Don't hold your breath though.

Does anyone else hate the Monk show as much as I do?

    Even the commercials are annoying.

    We get it, he's OCD.

Now can he learn another trick?

If I had ever wanted to watch someone being OCD, I would have just sat on the couch every Saturday and watched my dad clean.

  10. Re: Shit The Shit The Shit The Shit The Shit Thread

Burger King at the airport doesn't have a dollar menu and a whopper is three bucks. Fuck them. I'm hungry, but too cheap to do anything about it.

Especially when I know that I'm going to get food on my next flight anyways.

On a side note, there are several Coach stores in the terminal at this Honolulu Airport. Dayum.

I'm sitting in an aiport in Las Vegas waiting for the next leg of what promises to be a long long journey.

From here I go to Honolulu.

From Honolulu I continue on to Sydney where all I'm going to want is some fresh air, a shower, and a pint.

There are mad tons of asian people around me.

I can't sleep on planes. Too bad I can't get 12oz on a plane either.

Great movie. I hear they are trying to make an American version. I'm pretty sure it'll get fucked up in the production process.

Fuck yes that's a great movie.

If anyone else tells me differently, I usually punch them in the throat.

  13. I recommend (all movies I've watched recently again/for the first time):

    Borat

    Shaun of the Dead

    Thank You for Smoking

    Ferris Bueller's Day Off

    Bonus:

One of my family members recommended this movie called Death Race 2000

It has David Carradine in it. That's enough to make it worth watching for me.

I'm going to check it out, maybe y'all should too.
