regarding riding eggbeaters on the rode. yes i do it. i just simply love the simple, 4 sided entry and the fact that i have never had any problem clipping in out even in the winter, and they release like peter north im smooth creamy bliss. mostly the 4 sided entry and the fact I have been using them since they hit the market. I do take a wiegth loss, but my current bike that i ride alot has lights, racks, etc, cages, etc. so its not really a lightwieght anyways. if i was riding in competion i would only use them for situations with alot of mud.

as far as clipless goes i ride eggbeaters. used to have some time atacs too but i prfer the eggs.

i got the mother fuckin presidential service award for volunteer work. 3000 hours logged in 2008. Did emergency disaster response mostly, responding to floods and blizzards. Had the chance to go to hurricane rita but couldnt leave for an entire month. also included running a charity film festival for doctors without borders, reframed a basement for habitat for humanity, and did some enviromental resotration projects.

listen up choads, if it involves more then turning on the oven or microwave and inserting the food it is not no effort food. dudes in here talkin about multi course dishes and marinades and spices, SHUT THE FUCK. we are lazy. we like pop tarts, corndogs, and pizza. even cooking pasta is not no effort, u gotta get out the strainer, u will have 3-4 dishes to clean, and it takes fucking attention cause u gotta stir it and shit while it cooks. Pizza on the other hand, turn on oven. insert pizza, remove pizza, eat. dont need a plate or any dishes.

this is a great idea. chill out on a couple rooftops along the crit mass route and send some water ballons full of red or pink paint down on the parade.

i would say in general, critical mass events only make decent minded cyclists into "asshole kids" in the eyes of the public. Also, who wants to ride in a group with 50 people likely to crash there fixie into you...
