  1. He PROBABLY will cycle himself back into the system. BUT....i think trying him as an adult will give him less of a fighting chance at being a productive member of society. The kid is 15.... psychology experts (if you you can really claim there is one) say that people are learning to deal with their emotions into their 20's. Most people when given the part, will learn the role....if you put a child in an enviroment with repeat offenders chances are he will become one.
  2. The American Splendor soundtrack is AMAZING! I would have LOVED to browse his record collection. I heard this news on NPR today and it made the rest of my day super sad. Tonight we will watch American Splendor in tribute to this amazing man. I will also start the day at the warehouse to this CD.
  3. I was talking to my friend who works at the Madison Market. Apparently because of her blaming the Kombucha for her alcohol relapse they have pulled it off the shelves and cannot sell the stock they have until the FDA or FDI whoever is in charge, clears the charges that it contains enough alcohol to get you crunk. They carry camera phone in prison now? For someone who made a sex tape, she's worried about someone taking a picture of her taking a dump? What is the world coming to?
  4. seriously...from what ive seen rp mag is pretty good at getting everyone. but some people just dont get posted. some of the shit he flicks i wouldnt bother looking at. but different strokes...right?! and really....do you see some of the posts in this thread.....its like homie promotion hour, 20 pics of 1 person they be jockin....or pics of just their homies garbage. come on. rp mag does fine, im sure he probally doesnt have the time to post ALL the pictures he takes. so dont get but hurt if you or your homie is not getting posted, it happens to everyone.
  5. The Jew and I are going to see this tonight. I have heard good things so we'll see.
  6. Fatback- Backstroke Handsome was humming this yesterday morning when he woke up. Then I started humming it not really thinking about it. And then in the car the little egg started singing the chorus. Hilarious. It subconsciously invaded all out brains it's so good.
  7. Aawweee, Mr. And Mrs. Black&Mild wished we could have been at the Seattle show. This looks amazing and jealous you got to see her back stage.
  8. Damn it!!! I was going to go see Sharon jones but missed it!
  9. Tom Robbins and Sherman Alexi make me very proud to be in the Northwest. I've been reading this novel by Mary Mackey called McCarthy's list. It's hilarious and random. I like it but cannot find an image of it online.

  11. double trouble post. But let me take the opportunity to say this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ndjqEA37CSY This is the mutha fuckin cut.
  12. We missed the show when it was here, we had the little egg. I imagine it was amazing, you'll have a blast.
  13. art primo carries krylon....but not all the colors because alot of the colors did go to shit. and no....the picture isnt photoshopped. it was an art primo ad. they carry black, white, osha, farm, and other random colors that are good. but.....really, why bother buying krylon when you can buy premium paint? i think its for the people that want to reminisce. or for the people that have never used it....(which i think it is alot of people that post on 12oz). like it or not.....for a long time krylon was the standard our subculture required from a can of paint even after it started to get watered down, for a variety of reasons. it wasnt dusty, and when you pressed on your cap there wasnt a delay like rusto had, you could actually use german thins and ny thins with precision....rusto was and still is only good with fat caps. you can use german thins with it...but the delay is so bad that you need alot of practice to get use to it, and it still wont be as clean.
  14. War is quintessential for my music sanity. Handsome man and I were discussing the importance of vocal affirmations in really good songs. Noises like, HUH, YEAH and UH, these when well placed in an already excellent song, re-affirms to the listener that this song is The Shit. Not all songs with these affirmations are excellent and fakers are clearly spotted. Examples are as follows; War- Galaxy For all that my mom has given me, life and looks and whatnot, I am very grateful of her bestowing me the gift of War, Santana and Chick Corea. James Brown- Funky Good Time and of course this varies depending on what version you are listening to. This is the only one I could find that I was pleased with the sound. I like how the woman in here WHOOPS like she is really having a Funky Good Time. Melly Mel- This is the verse he did in Beat Street. I'll watch this movie any day, not just to listen to the dope songs they have throughout this movie, but just for this verse. Please listen at 2:30 A-RAH!
  15. Haha, back when I used to break dance, I had a set I would do with this song especial. This was my super hero theme song.
  16. the guy gets up. hes defineately quantity over quality, no doubt. if you havent ever seen kose up on freights....i dont buy you paint trains for real. but im sure knowing that hes taking the quantity approach, he expects to be painted over especially on the armns and boxcars. now that i think about it, i dont really see any of his throws on armns or boxcars, i see plenty of his tags on the armns tho.
  17. I pretty much read Catch-22 once a year, I love it so much. I started reading this. This book is amazing. I enjoy it so far.
  18. For the life of me, I could not get into Kafka's The Trail. Metamorphosis I enjoyed thoroughly.
  19. He is an interesting author. This book reminded me of khalil Gibran The Prophet. It get's a little too preachy for me at times. There is another book of his where he goes on this spiritual quest in Spain with his guide and has to pass all these tests. That one from what I remember was interesting and thought provoking. For the life of me I cannot remember it. Quick search, found it, The Pilgrimage.
  20. ummmm.....no! I blame the rest of you freight heads for letting shit like this happen on trains. This is partly the reason why reefers look like a hobo shit them onto the tracks. keep toys off good trains, point em to where the hopper layups are...or teach em to put some effort into some shit and make that train look nice. that jigl handy is about the only thing on that train worth looking at.
