  1. Someone really needs to do a book strictly on insides. That's one of the things that i really found fascinating when i was young, and would get in the trains. Great pics above.
  2. Finally the wait is over! You guys need to get this. Should be out early Spring 2011. There are gons of great shots in here, along with great stories, and quotes! http://www.amazon.com/Platform-Subway-Graffiti-1983-1989/dp/0764337238/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1290108270&sr=8-2
  3. Unfortunatelly when you self publish a book it is very expensive ( I could be wrong, but i think that Blurb is one of the only companies where you can do this). I agree about the size of the book Page. That is the first thing that i noticed when i took it out of the box. However, I have seen books that have double the pages as this one,yet not nearly as much quality. Though Cole states in the beginning that he is not a professional photographer most if not all of the shots are on point. There really are a lot of gems in here. Also the knowledge, and stories of where, and how he caught some of these pics is interesting.
  4. Just a FYI for all the regular heads in this thread: I got the Steel Wheels book over the weekend. Don't sleep on this book. I believe it's a limited print. Cole did a great job on it. The quality of the photos are great, as is the text. I was fortunate to see some of Cole's collection many years ago, and had high expectations when he announced that he was doing a book. It not only met my expectations, but surpassed them.
  5. Re: Freight WholeCars & E2Es Bump both of the Sak MBT joints. Classic subway writer blazing the lines!
  6. You might want to try either Vane, Ches, or Monte if you have some kind of contact to them. I remember one of those guys telling me that they were going to get into taking pictures of the highways (more than likelly i think that it was Vane because he was big into going on photo missions at one point). This was almost 20 years ago, which was probably the last time that i saw either one of these guys. I don't know if they ever followed up on it though. Hope this helps.
  7. Awesome flix Acid.By any chance do you have a close up of that "Suicide" piece that Cromag did? That was the last piece that i saw him do before he passed. I remember it looking great up close.
  8. Too much to Bump but: That Smog & Miro (Never have seen that car) Shoroz TDC Bones (Ven) at the scraps Nace (RIP) Cav,Sien 5,Vism e to e
  9. What about that "Janet / Assault" piece from Beat Street?
  10. It does have its cheesy moments, but there are some good ones. I still think the opening scene when they run from the street and jump the fence into the M yard is pretty cool. Plus all of those trains running as the credits go up. I think that i thought it was better when i first saw it in the 80's, but I can still appreciated it though.. "i'm the king of the line that's what i am!"
  11. Great set of flix. Love that DB, and Nike from the scraps.
  12. Thanks for the info. Yeah, i remember seeing quite a few of Revs parking lots way back when. Be nice to see more DB stuff to. Guy did good shit.
  13. Re: Freight WholeCars & E2Es Is that a dude??
  14. How many trains did Revs do roughly? Through the years i would guess that i have probably seen anywhere from half a dozen to a dozen (including 2 whole cars).
  15. Nice. How much of that car was done before they got raided? Yeah, seems like flicks of that car is rare.
  16. Yeah this one just made my day. Both nice panels. Never saw this... By any chance does anyone have flicks (or even got to see running) that Miami Vice car that these guys did that had a write up in the paper? I know it was unfinished, but would be cool to see.
  17. That's really sad news. He was a really cool guy. Very funny, and sincere. My condolences go out to all of his family, friends, and HI Crew.
