jeez, i dont know if there will or will not be a draft. but i do see the same hostility and close minded bullshit that makes me sick happening over this issue like so many others. people just label eachother and then cease to hear one another. when you use a term like "hippie" what does that mean? Or "liberal" or "conservative". these words are bullshit and they save you the trouble of actually discussing the issue with some thought and effort. Personally, I just hope that America will one day be liberated from our obsession with money and wealth and status and we will be able to have generations value and enjoy life. Rather than sell it to the small group of unimginably wealthy people which run everything. These people must be dethroned and we must reinvent our national moral compass.

i would always marvel at how something like the holocaust could happen. an entire populace turn their backs on truth and rationalize away the shadows in their minds. i now understand. i saw the hate in a cops eye as he maced an elderly woman holding a no war sign. ignorance breeds hate and hate consumes all reason and logic. but i will not trade humanity for patriotism. and i will not get on the band wagon because that is the easier road. its true. big brother is watching. but so is Dr. King and Gandhi and God. Evil succeeds when great and honorable men stand by and watch without voice. Each of us own it to our own soul or personal evolution or whatever, to look objectively at reality everyday in new ways. And constantly try to look beyond our own prejudices. To pursue truth even i it shows us we are wrong.

well, in the face of an unaknowledged genocide the Brits committed in Ireland I'd say its all fair game. You move into a nation and take it's land by force and export the food supply leaving it's indigenous people to starve to death in shacks I would say you are gonna have some pissed off movements. Also consider the IRA was peaceful until the Bloody Sunday massacre where they were pushed into the wall and decide to start pushing back. The Brits, America, Spain, ect are all vicious imperials and you can't get upset at the groups which rise to fight them because they have nothing left but the fight for their home and freedom. I dont know anything about that particular incident but sounds lame ass and could discredit them greatly.

i dont have too much of an opinion on this issue. prison is horrible indeed and i wouldnt wish it on anyone who didnt really deserve to have their life taken from them for some amount of time. coming from a rough place myself, there are a couple times where i didnt tell everything i knew to Johnny Law and i dont think that means i should get locked up.

this is a good topic because i agree with so much of whats being said on both sides. but i get frustrated when people use terms like "liberal" as a way of discrediting the values a person has. i feel the same way about the word "conservatives" or whatever. Thats ignorant to use slurs and turn your ears from someone rather that arguing their points. bottomline, teachers should be able to yell at your kids and certainly not fuck with them like that. You don't like what the kids doing send him to the office. As for the kid getting suspended for video taping it, I hope he gets a good lawyer and sells that tape to the mainstream media. It's like video taping an abusive nanny, you arent violating her rights.

i wonder if anyone else realizes that it is a small conflict of interest to have a government made up completely of CEOs of huge companies making decisions about opening the nations resources up to big buisness? so all the oil company tycoons have been lotted positions in the administration and now they want to drill Alaska for Oil, have admittedly invaded the Arabian nations which produce Oil and begun occupation. hmmm.....something seems off. How do people ignore the diseased elephant in the living room?

those tapes are plants. they were created and dropped to a friendly media source to actually help the president look better. if you listen to the tapes they actually make him seem like a nice guy. when really he is a rotten sack of crap.

the question of who are "they" is fair enough. but consider what happened to Martin Luther King and several other black civil rights leaders that very same day. What happened to his "killer" and what happened to the judge of the trial of James Earl Ray. they are the people who sabataged Senator Wellstone, who decide what information the public and president is fit to hear, they are the upper echelon of the Intellegence or Military communities. Where members with big mouths get illegally committed to mental institutes, commit "suicide" or just go missing. and if that sounds paranoid to you then obviously you are just poorly educated. To understand the nature of our government you need to educate yourself to the things we have committed in South America. The atrocities and evils done in our name by Henry Kissinger and his thugs. A man quoted as saying, "The Illegal we can do now, the unconstitutional will take some time."

politicians do this crap all the time. they create a cultural rift that doesnt need to exist. same thing with gay marriage and all that unimportant crap. they do these things to make themselves seem needed and to distract us from important things which need attention. like all the money that went "missing" in Iraq. it's that dudes wife let him choose. he has power of attourney over her. it's his call. just because some stranger who never met this woman has some religious or moral idea about how it should be handled doesnt mean it should have any imnpact. you know how many times doctors decide to pull the plug on people? how many times that happens everyday in this country? now what about the death penalty? what about giving the death penalty to the mentally ill? when the government starts legislating morality we have a huge problem! I hate that with all my being!
