yeah - it took me a total of about 1 hr from touchdown in pdx to walk through the doors of the deschutes brewpub. i was not disappoint. as fist says - it was ultra cozy nh and i can see myself basically camping out in there during a winter day. plus that shit is CHEAP. maybe it's because i live in the bay, but i found portland to be so inexpensive. i would def be 20lbs heavier if i lived up there.

breweries! rogue was awesome - super cool people there and that food was a fatkid dream come true. i was highly impressed with deschutes' fresh hop stuff. mainly the fresh hop oktoberfest brew they had on. but i think that's an in-house only type thing.

i don't technically have a 'touring' specific bike. right now i'm just using my old trek for light stuff (1 or 2 nights). if it's loaded up it flexes like mad when i'm climbing. but, it works for what i need at the moment. damn rubbish! that's such a bummer, but it sounds like you're on pace to crush this season.
