Every single government site about going to Canada or Mexico says if you're flying you need a passport, if you're crossing on land you can use your birth certificate until 2008, whereupon you will need a passport for that too... It was a big deal considering I wasn't going to be able to get a passport for several weeks and was supposed to be there in one. I read up on it a lot. And subsequently was right since I am now in Canada.

Yeah that's another thing I was thinking. When what's her face asked Ben how he thought he was going to get him to agree.
