I think Amir and Totem are the same person... I know paint pens go over shit good. I use paint pens. What kind of paint pens get that smooth kind of blending? And you can see the print under it just barely showing through... I don't think it's regular paint pens like you'd pick up at Michael's or some shit.

Nah... for real, I do have a toy question... What the fuck kind of markers does Totem use to do shit like this: Before you get all wise-ass, notice it's drawn OVER some sort of karate instruction manual and yet the colors are smoothly blended and VERY precise. I have yet to find any markers opaque enough to do that and still blend over something printed like this. Anyone know? Cuz I'll buy them shits with the quickness.

Hey.... thanks everybody. I got more sketches coming. In the mean time, here's something I just finished like an hour ago... legal and paint... I know it's the sketch thread... still, don't feel like posting somewhere else. I feel my paint skills are kind of toy but maybe I'm just being hard on myself. I got a long way to come up. I know that.

I started painting while I still lived with my parents (and was a real fucking toy) and they were pretty much oblivious. Later I decided to tell them I painted graff but I tell them I only do legals and they are fine with it. They don't understand it but aren't difficult. My dad gives me leftover bucket paint sometimes. They might even let me paint a wall in their backyard. I know a writer who's dad really does write too and paints with him. His brother paints too so it's like one big painting family.

ilovevirginiandirtyneedles: those characters are fucking tight but those letters... I like the simple straight one but the rest... the fills are harsh and the letters need work. Those characters burn, though. vare one: overall I dig that but not so much overlap on the let side of the "U" and the "T" needs to be moved so that it doesn't look like an "R." Your 3D needs help. If you were going for a vanishing point behind the letters, you lost it in the top of the "T" and the "S" and the "U." I'd stick to 45 degree vanishing points until I had more practice under my belt with that. By the way, for those that care, PEEGEE is back!

Ha... I didn't have a name for those characters but "Gummy Bear" works great... thanks. It may not be your speed but I think they have a style of their own...

More new shit by me... Some feedback for the other stuff on this page... jank: Marvin the Martian piece is straight up fire. AWProvidence: I really am not feeling anything until that FRESH throw, the PERO forth pic down... that throw fucking rocks. All those throws are tight as hell. But the rest... needs work. KREM1: work on simpler letters but keep up your fills, 3D, halos and shit like that. It looks decent but the letters need work. DKbmx: I'd break your letters down a bit simpler but keep everything else the same. Good use of the basic elements but the letters are not strong. So there's some feedback for you all. Now tell me what sucks about my shit.

jank: Looking at it again, I really slept on the second to last piece. That shit is bangin. tortech... I really like that... for a first time, that's pretty damn good...

Jank: Friend's room and last one are the best... Friend's room, I ain't feelin' the S but the rest is good... your fills really work on most of these... keep that shit up... The rest... they are okay but that last one is HOT.
