is this event worth going too? I'm down in detroit but I have the weekend off and not shit to do.Its still like four hours drive though. whos there and whats the paint scene like?

It was tight back in grade school when mindlabs was making stuff and there was the blue rhino label but now its all played out like everyting else that takes off. But seriously there were some innovations directly related to marc ecko, but following abercrombie jumping into the youth makrket to make money off 5th grader's parents is not how I'd run a design house. I'll never rock ecko again. I never seen his graff though, someone who has ever seen it should post it.

yup teen center near my town is paying my friend to teach this summer, Hes hustlin them hard, got $5000 grant from state to buy supplies, so now were gonna rack paint that the state buys us and hes getting paid to do it. We each already got over 200 worth in free paint and paid 150 to paint the inside of the place. I say get money its like artists doing anything commercial you never bring your a game to the table, you keep that for the real in the spots. No one can say they don't want $ or free paint for bull shiting some kiddies into thinking their down with somthing they know noting about

Yeah magic was dope, I shooting in a billiards tournament the whole time in NV. unfortuantly I didn't spend much time @ the sho. Hey this is a shot in the dark but I was curious if anyone working in this industry had any job or intern leads particularly in nyc. thanks

batman is the jam! but rocawear (dispite the fact I like some of their designs) rocawear is just a hack urban street wear brand that is only in existance so that Jay-z can get more of peoples cash. I don't blame him though and I even have been caught up listening to some of his older stuff. But basiclly I don't think that Rocawear deserves the opprotunity to rep batman. seriouly; "Fabrications include jersey, distressed denim from light to dark finishes, brushed tricot and cotton-poly blends" Wow real original real effort a whole lot of design consideration and creativity over at rocawear! Design meetings go like this: HOW CAN WE GET PAID OFF a stupid american youth market. O i know give em shit they can already get at the gap for 5x's the price but put or name on the tag, yes yes Anyway I hope the new bruce wayne movie is good.....my$.02

yea I met those cats at scribble jam a few years ago and I've had orders over 200 for paint before and I've never had any troubles with them

anyone one know anything about hip hop olympics? I thought this was an event that went down in detroit (at hockey town? maybe) last year about this time? I heard a rumor it was happening again in Nov. this year.????

wow I was just mentioning that when I visited detroit there seemed to be not alot of art that was not very creative.(compared to past visits ) thats all I didn't mean for people to start arguing and justifying themselves. I just thought I personally dident' see anything I really liked when I was there.(Although I'm positive I did not see the whole city and every spot) However there are alot of new writers up in alot of spots that I never seen before and I was liking that fact. And it does suck that younger kids are able To get up and out more financilly and transportation wise. makes me wish I was 16 with a lisense a allowance and my mommys mini van. Damn I could fit alot of paint in a mini van. I mean think about if everytime you skipped class in high school you were rocking out in some yard or on a train

yea fel is tight of course but I mean people aren't creative like black and white letters in generic typing fonts and cursive handstyles. Thats more of what I was talking about, not cf peoples
