I think it has alot to do with there ignorant Egos "I'm write such & such, fuck the numbers, who cares" I have heard that line more then once from some pretty well known writers who arnt around today,, You know, those flash in the pan type.
I use to rock tags way above everybody jams I caught rolling, Just to say I caught it.
Then this notion of sidebusting came about..
Now I just streak the ladder space.
If duct tape is on hand I'll use it. Sure, why not. otherwise just paint around them.
..
It really silly to go over the nunbers if your going to be in it for awhile. Which reminds me on how alot of writers back in the day would rewrite the numbers above of there pieces thinking it wouldn't get the stamp either..
I'm just as guilty.
By the year 2000 a few of the Kos writers had already done 1000 PIECES on trains. That was 5 years ago. Thats still more jams completed then what half of the baltimore writers/crews have done in there whole carrer. Thats putting in work.
NOt to mention, all the streets and walls that been buffed or dissed in the years past.
kos made a national name for its crew by painting shit.
no internet, no stamp licking, no networking. no jibber jabber.
I like to see writers hitting more original spots in baltimore. instead of constantly hitting the same old buff marks year after year. Ya hear what I'm saying. Spot Jocking?
The only writers that I have notice doing streets, daily this year. Is Arab, Kepo & Eli. But honesty,The way I see it if you aint well rounded, You suck.
