  1. 7 year lurker adding that more than half of the people on this board, who actually put in work, will fall off well before their 30th. The ones who keep at it are rare and deserve their props, but getting over 'getting over' is part of most writer's lives.
  2. Re: I wanna see your...........PETS! ^^I know these dogs. You have exposed yourself, My guy,
  3. If you don't know, now you know. Bump the history lesson.
  4. 'I saw it, It's ALIVE, it's huge" Why would a lion come out of the water? The statue of liberty went flying down the street. That shit came from the water. Peep this site and read the history section. There's a dude in the trailer wearing a Slusho shirt, which seems to be part of the whole ARG. I'm banking on Cthulu. http://www.slusho.jp
  5. Girl Talk is the shit. Saw him in Seattle recently, he looks like he's having a fucking seizure on stage the whole time.
  6. That new pussycat dolls show they promoted has way hotter bitches than top model.
  7. Im fuckin old. We didn't even have computers at my high school.
  8. The easy part is downloading the flv or swf (not sure how that plug in works). If you just want to save them and watch them on your computer I reccomend FLV player (http://applian.com/flvplayer/?src=GFLV_PLAYER). Converting the files and burning them to playable dvd is more of the issue.
  9. it is possible, but it's a complicated answer and not worth it because they would be almost unrecognizable on your tv.
  10. Take a history lesson and paint another ten years. Then talk to me about toy.
  11. saying graffiti is a distant nephew to calligraphy is like saying that rocks were born from plastic.... retarded.
  12. All good advice so far. But I'll add..... Show Process!!! I don't think enough people do this. Employers will hire you for your mind and how it works. I layed out a book filled with scans of thumbnails, messy scribbled on paper, napkins, whatever. It usually ends up being a great conversation piece and allows me a chance to better explain my ideas and thinking. Show them all the critical creative steps in the beginning of the process. Conceptual ability is what can set you apart from the other 300 people applying for the job. Also I'd say show your work on boards. I know that a lot of people like to show their portfolio in book form these days, but this isn't practical when you're interviewing with 5 people at once. They need something to pass around. Books are great for freelance though!
  13. what are you talking about, HJG is hawaii
