Dark Days was such a great documentary..i've seen it about 4 or 5 times. I still need to watch Seattle is Dying....a lot of people here in my city (Sacto, CA) are saying we could be next. Here in my city we literally have people camping in residential neighborhoods in front of homes, squatters in vacant homes, huge communities of tent cities by the rivers, etc etc... a recent report came out last month saying homelessness in our city increased by 19%: https://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-sacramento-county-homeless-count-increase-methodology-20190626-story.html

watched a ton of movies recently, but havent posted here in a while. the last one i saw was The 15:17 to Paris directed by clint eastwood. i guess i should give it a good review because they are my city's "hometown heroes" but quite frankly the movie sucked. waiting for clint eastwoods next movie though.....its called "The Mule" i think. still want to go see the hate u give, bohemian rhapsody, green book, and Ralph breaks the internet.

Finished The Hate U Give 5 days ago... Loved all the old school references to 2Pac, Fresh Prince of BelAir etc. Hated all the references to the new school garbage. Overall interesting read and the characters were VERY realistic....good character development, also very easy read. Also very true to whats been happening lately with police shootings of young African American boys and men. Thought about watching the movie now but heard they left out one of the main characters so maybe not.

He actually spent more time talking about the water situation in Flint than anything else. It was interesting but kind of a nothing-burger compared to Farenheit 9/11 which came out 14 years ago. *edit: his last movie "Where to invade next" was much better

Farenheit 11/9 two nights ago.

We have the same apps/programs here at our local library too. ..also, you have the option to check out gopros, digital cameras, musical instruments, lawn equipment, etc etc. ..plus they have 3d printers you can use as well as a book binding machine to make your own books...definitely keeping up with the times! Oh and btw, i'd be down for a forum book club too.
