  7. Seeing that orange Julius made me want to go read about the Florin Mall history... this was from wikipedia....80s and 90s memories for me included malls in general... By the 1980s, Florin Mall was becoming rather notorious as a haven for shootings, stabbings and car thefts. Local gangs had made the complex a regular hangout spot by the early 1990s. Customers began wafting to other frequent regional centers, such as Arden Fair Mall, Downtown Plaza and Sunrise Mall. A remodeling of Weinstock's in 1989 and a facelift renovation of the mall proper in the second half of 1990 did little to dispel the negative image that the center had taken on, especially in 1991 when four perpetrators took 41 people hostage at a Good Guys! electronics store that was adjacent to the mall. It resulted in the deaths of three hostages, injuring 14 others and remains, to this day, the largest hostage rescue operation in U.S. history. With the acquisition of Weinstock's by Federated Department Stores in August 1995, it was decided that the Florin Mall location be shuttered rather than converting it to Macy's. The store closed in March 1996. This was seen as the first significant decline to Florin Mall. JCPenney was converted to an outlet store in November 1998. The store was shuttered in 2003, leaving Sears as the sole anchor of the mall.[1] In a state of disrepair for some time, the bulk of Florin Mall was purchased by San Francisco's Jim Kessler and Prudential Insurance Company in October 2005.[2] The mall closed on February 28, 2006.[3] It was fully demolished in July 2006 (including the former JCPenney and Weinstock's anchors) leaving Sears, its Auto Center, and five outparcels standing.
  8. This reminds me of the mall that was in the hood in my city called Florin mall. Orange Julius, Sam Goody, and Foot Locker were the only reasons i went towards the end before they closed the mall.
  9. LoL.... you just watched some crazy ass Russian pop group... that's not their only hit song either
  10. You quoted me saying there weren't shortages, then quoted me saying there are shortages. No emotions here, but i saw what you did there. Staying at home is the most extreme form of distancing. Why shouldn't we do that and either have things delivered without contact or leave ONLY for essential things as little as possible. What they do does affect their neighbors, that's why a shelter in place can't be done on a state by state basis...i don't care if people are for states rights or against them... what one state does will eventually affect most if not all states. As for trump...i agree with you 200%
  11. I came in here to say i was looking up how much bamboo pillows cost, but hunting scorpions at night threw me off
  12. Well played.... You: There have always been shortages Me: I didn't see any shortages (in regular times) . . . Me: National stockpile should compensate for (current) shortages. But good try... trying to use a person's own words against them usually works in winning arguments... not in this case. Let me break it down even further so y'all can understand it... really simple..... Testing = good Distancing = good Vaccine research = good PPE = good Supporting economy = good All of these together = great Opening the country on May 1st = bad Slow opening before we fully get a grasp on things = not as bad... but still bad.
  13. Agree to disagree. Yes testing might take a while, but that's why you should work on expediting home testing... using saliva. I worked in the ER for about 2 years... never saw shortages... but even then National stockpile should compensate for these shortages.. it didn't. NY is an outlier but the rates of infection are growing everywhere in the U.S.... if people aren't staying at home, there spread will increase. I don't understand why you disagree with everything im saying. US is number 1!! Especially because we have more cases than the next top 4 countries... combined. Look, i hope im wrong and we get past this... if im wrong I'll even come out to nawlins and buy you some beignets.
  14. I prefer a steak in my stomach🤷‍♂️
  15. Yeah you were. From what i remember, our schedules didn't line up...i had plans doing touristy things with my ex, and during my alone time when i was able to get away, i had to visit family in Henderson. You had work at your shop. So it just never happened.
