Its cool I wouldn't expect more than maybe one or two people on this board to feel that. It takes a rare breed to walk out on all their friends and the fun - but nothing scares me more than being 35 and everyone has moved on, the fun stops and I'm on some average joe shit until I die. Quitting booze really helped me out a lot. I used to kill half gallons of Belvedere to my dick in a single night and do like 2 ball games. Now I have NO desire to drink. I haven't been drunk in over a year (I stopped when I stopped opiates.) Out of all drugs it has the LEAST desirable effects. It definitely fucks with your brain chemistry and in the day is when you would feel the effects. Partying as a whole is just dead to me. That shit will not make me rich so I want nothing to do with it. But yeah - I'd highly suggest taking a break from all forms of alcohol and narcotics for a bit just to see the effects. Go 2 months without touching a single thing and then if it didn't work just go back to your thang, but I guarantee it will feel great. We lie to ourselves and justify whatever we want, hell I still do some blow every other weekend and smoke trees but on the other hand I haven't been in a bar or a party in over a year and my mental state can't be fucked with. Number one thing I learned is to NEVER get caught up in today. You need to have a grand scheme - a huge, epic goal that will complete you and give you something to look forward to. Each day that I wake up, I know that I'm getting up to do my best to become filthy rich and unlock the world and the insignificant things happening today won't matter down the road. The average person isn't shit because the average person can't do this. "Living for today" is really an excuse for people to not try hard.
