  5. I need to be schooled on this as well. The one thing I do know about is when seed companies use genetically modified seeds that don't allow the crop to produce seeds of its own. This way seeds are only good for one season and the farmers have to buy every year. In most cases they don't even have the option to get seeds that aren't 'genetically enhanced.' edit: I know symbols will be the one to break it down for the class. help us symbols

    Dial H-I-S-T-O-R-Y

I just finished watching this and learned a lot from it, I had no idea what the history of hijacking was composed of and what purpose it served for the pioneers. You can tell they were trying to go the artsy route when making the film, as opposed to a straight up overflow of information. But I can appreciate how it was all put together, and I did enjoy it. and I have a crush on Rima Tannous Eissa now. :heartbeat: pretty in a jail cell, now that's gifted
  10. i know i'm not down with the bats, but i just come here to post trivial things. and all i want to do is take a shit before go to bed, and my alcoholic roommate has been in the bathroom for a half hour; engaged in a fierce battle between vomit and sleep. there's been uncalled for amounts of fiber in my diet the past two days.
  11. there's a badass movie you can find on eMule or whatever, it's called deep blue. just some mellow music and footage of sea life, good stuff for cold lampin.
  12. mild ass bump (not a 'creature' but still interesting) vampire squid (Vampyromorpha) The vampire is a phylogenetic relict and possesses features of both octopods and decapods. In addition, it has many features that are probably adaptations to the deep-sea environment. Among these are the loss of the ink sac and most active chromatophores, development of photophores and the gelatinous consistency of the tissues. Finned or Dumbo Octopus Eelpout sea spider - these things are 50cm across this alone (amongst other stacking examples) is enough to convince me that the earth is more than 10,000 years old. just imagine how long some of this stuff has been evolving. just wait until dolphins start using machinery and computers. some of those were posted already
  13. hahaha, it reminds me of the 'moon waffles' that homer makes
  14. it's good to get in touch with your primitive side once in a while, i like watching the older ones. i heard they have rules and shit now... what the fuck is that feeling you get when you're watching someone getting a knee smashed into their face over and over and over?

    The Draft

i've been looking around for days trying to find this article i read a couple weeks ago it was from an official armed forces web page or something else that appeared legitimate, and it was about how they are having a really tough time meeting the quota for new recruits. if anyone else knows what i'm talking about post up a link please
  18. so he deserves to be shot just because he looks different than you?
  19. so, is there a section of the law that states the person you shoot has to be armed?
  20. It's laughable that some of you are using the example of getting your wallet stolen as an argument for why someone deserves to die. keep attacking the byproducts of much bigger problems and you'll get nowhere, just watch. hippies don't own assault rifles, and the only one that said i was a liberal was you, and it was just to avoid thought and make things easier for yourself. i know it must be almost impossible for you to wrap your head around the concept; but there are more than 2 ways to look at things. don't buy into the phony right/left paradigm, the only thing it will do is limit your thoughts and make you underestimate yourself.(obviously) do you guys get robbed a lot or something? and the question that no one will touch... how can one prove or disprove an authentic threat? or can someone be 'threatening' without breaking any laws?
  21. the thing is, there doesn't even need to be a crime committed for someone to feel 'threatened.' and one of the main points i wanted to bring up is how can one prove or disprove what an authentic threat is? especially if one of the involved (or both) parties are dead? it's all a matter of perception when passing judgment.
  22. 1) how wonderful! we can judge and execute people over a stolen wallet all by ourselves! and humanity as a whole will benefit if everyone has a god complex, a handgun, and the right to open fire in a public place, no matter how crowded the area may be. it's not a very convincing argument, and i've always thought that 'win some lose some' is a good philosophy to embrace, because it happens to be the truth. 2) you didn't answer my question, which makes me think you were stating things which have no basis of thought or truth in them. just so you don't start to pull out your same old tricks and call me a gun control hippy, let me state again, i believe everyone should have the right to own a gun if they wish. it's the philosophy behind laws like these that i don't buy, and i hope someday everyone will realize guns aren't going to solve our problems and start to 'evolve ideas.'
