...i had an old horizon...thing was a piece of shit...but atleast when ever it broke down i could get cheap parts from the junk yard...my '84 sentra went to 220,000 before my sister wrecked and totaled it...the only thing we ever replaced was the transmission @175...japanese cars are just more reliable...

...bottom line..it's not a good idea to paint loaded autoracks...
...what happens is this...yes overspray sticks to cars...when they are unloaded at dealership (or yard for transport), the dealer can reject the car and send it back...meaning that then the railroad is responsible for it, and it could be traced back to where you were painting it...this equals bad...
...some times, however, the dealer will simply buff off the overspray...new cars have a ton of clear coat on them...but they still report the damage to the carrier...which could trace back to your spot...
...again...don't paint 'em loaded...you're making your spot hot...

...no one seemed to mention this...but that draft that is quoted at the beginning of the thread is from a now defunct proposal from the justice department in 2003...it was met by so much criticism thta it was basicaly scrapped...currently congress is working on amending the patriot act 2001 because some of the provisions have 'sunset' clauses that end the power...there is a push by the 'bushites' to extend or make these provisions permanent while also adding new measures...it has been said that there is a lot more opposition in congress however due to the fact that no one's really scared anymore and there has been little evidence that the patriot act has actually done anything...no one really knows though becasue the meetings are completely closed doors...

...i used that interview because i happened to come across it, it was short and funny...there is a really good interview that he did for flash art last fall with questions submitted by viewers...if you find it at the library or somewhere, it's definately worth reading...
