Tell me at least ONE of you has some sort of degree in Psychology, and you're not just like every other person that has an opinion on something and is "sure that's the way it is". Have you ever compared multiple MRI's of children with AD/HD with those that do not have it? Do you understand how a child qualifies for this label? Have you read *peer reviewed journal articles* (not Women's Gossip Weekly) on the current research about AD/HD?
It may be over-diagnosed, and yes, there are undoubtedly people that abuse the meds. Keep in mind, not ALL AD/HD meds are amphetimines. I was reviewing the file of a girl earlier today who's primary disability is AD/HD, and is currently taking Strattera, Seroquil, Lithium Bicarbonate, and four other meds/hormones. Personally, I don't think that could possibly be good for a kid. Then again, I don't have a doctrate in medicine, so I refrain from pushing my opinion to be fact.
This thread pops up every few months, and for some reason there's always at least a few people who are certain whatever type of mental disorder is "made up". Seriously do some legit research on it before you start rambling.
