  1. @glorydays govrn did. They're based in (surprise) LA hahaha
  2. That's why you have to sleep on it hahaha. This is great though. I remember seeing this And wanted to do a gum sole on my white 2.0's. SBB 2.0 will probably be my choice now.
  3. Actually looking at the 1's above, I suppose the outsole is injection molded? If that's the case, the world is your oyster for cw
  4. @glorydayshaha it's definitely a piece you own for life and leather will darken over time. Makes me consider neutral grey's or SBB 2.0's. I wonder if the soles get painted to match.
  5. Lexol? Jk, I doubt the leather is sealed. I don't think it's extensive--especially if you're a sneakerhead. Pricey at the beginning, but that's it. I'm still using the kit my gf bought me from Allen Edmonds 3-4 years ago for my dress shoes. Saphir might have stuff to maintain vegtanned leather though. Since you'd be wearing the 1's as a fashion statement, the upkeep won't be much or often if you don't wear them as dailys. I just checked out the rest of their site and saw they replace Margom soles. This is great news as I have some shoes that have it. I never liked the idea of trashing a shoe when the sole wears down but the upper is still in excellent condition.
  6. @glorydaysoh no no, I'm pretty sure the leather is "hydrated" when it's shipped; it's the upkeep that's the concern. I'm for sure it won't be an issue though as long as one treats the shoes like dress shoes so the leather doesn't dry out. I'm just over analyzing things and it's not a big issue–my brain likes to do this too often 😞
  7. @glorydaysHaha I do, but I never conditioned it. I meant warped in the sense of movement. I have boatshoes that can be resoled and never conditioned it either. Through the years, the stitching at the toebox stretched the leather so water can get in albeit not much. I want to think it's because I let it happen re: not conditioning the leather.
  8. Shit, man. If I wasn't getting (my final!!!) pair of Ultraboosts, I would. Realistically, I probably won't cop the 1's until next year once I made my peace with the cw I want. So far, Chicago/Bred/SBB are my choices to add some color in my wardrobe haha. Him resoling seals the deal. I'm not that educated on leather, so when the time gets closer, I'm going to reach out to them about it because my concern is the upper being warped from wear to the point that it won't be "stable" to reuse. i know you have to condition it but idk. haha
  9. 100%. looking forward to upping my black denim game and having different lengths for different occasions. Will probably dry clean instead of soaking as well...I soaked some near-deadstock pair of raw black denim earlier with ice and the damn thing was still bleeding. :V
  10. YO! I was at a local shop and they had the Tokyo's. Shit got me feeling some type of way as I'm partial to white shoes. Genuinely curious as to how they'd patina. I wonder if he resoles? I've always believed the stitching on the sole is purely aesthetics in this day and age...
  11. @glorydaysYeah, I'm bugging the site even sourced the selvedge lmao. I'm still learning how to set aside money as opposed to buying on impulse but one of the denim I linked to you has been restocked a lot re: poor reps. I've been reading further into the Celine thread on SF folks have been saying it's like the SLP 2013 D02's, so my mouth is salivating.
  12. Thank you! Honestly, $1200 sounds about right considering the work put in. Producing their own sole would be awesome, but that's asking a lot for a small operation.
  13. @glorydaysThoughts on replicas? I plan to cop a pair and possibly a pair of D02 SLP rep. Apparently this place (check your PM) is using the same denim supplier for SLP and Celine (MIJ). I can't say for the other denim Celine sells, but the black raws are flat-felled.
  14. ahh true. Those Left Field double blacks looking nice. I wore my faded black jeggings today and it has me wanting to start over with a new pair of SLP jeggings. Ksubi looks nice, but don't want the contrasting details. KR3W doesn't have it on their site. Looked at Acne, but they have way too much of a blend. Found some SLP's on eBay. I think I'm going to go with Celine and a bootleg pair. I might just say fuck it and hit up PacSun tomorrow to get it over with. idfk
  15. @QaweeHow'd you get that hole? You scratch your junk that much?
  16. Currently using St. Ives body wash ha. Sea salt and kelp. Haven't consumed or used any product with palm oil in a while and I'm happy. I use Hair Food for poo and condish 🥴 Also made the switch to a natural luffa for the shower and gd does it exfoliate. Also have one to wash dishes too 🙂 Got it from luffa gardens. They also make their own soap

    Shoes?

Copped some shoes from Y!P in late June. Arrived in the warehouse early July. DHL stop shipping to the US the week my shoes got packed so I had to opt for surface mail (cargo ship). That process (switching from DHL to surface) alone took three weeks. It left the port in early August and finally made it stateside over the weekend. Should have it in my hands this week finally. I'm pretty familiar with the sizing convention, but I'm going to fucking lose my shit if it doesn't fit. I plan to post it up for sale when I get it anyway. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Wasn't expecting I was ever going to find these in my size let alone near DS considering they're nine years old. 4E92C029-E5A5-45A8-ADDA-F7EAEF16AAA2.webp
  19. @mr.yuckWord? also depends on where the jeans sit on your waist. It's always good to purge the closet! Make sure you soak up the good times you had in them before donating/trashing them 🙂
  20. Couple buckaroos cheaper: https://www.billykirk.com/collections/standard
  21. 🤣 here's a link for a fraction of the price: https://corterleather.com/collections/belts/products/standard-utility-belt
  22. @mr.yuckYou and me both. I only (sham)poo maybe once a week since I don't wear product working from home, but I rinse my hair at least twice a day. Honestly, you shouldn't worry about six months of nonstop wear. I recommend soaking the jeans when they feel gross against your skin and/or smelly. When I realized my thighs were breaking out because of the oil my jeans collected, I threw that idea right out the fucking window and my legs were happy ever since. I'm the guy that washes his feet throughout the day and always before bed. I think you'd really like a veg tanned leather belt. If you're into a one-man op, hit up Corter Leather. I think he hired two people a few years ago though, but still. Here's my Tanner Goods natural. It's actually lighter irl. The middle part of the "S" I made...that patch of leather that's bright is from me hooking my carabiner into the belt loop. This is almost 4 years of wear since I don't wear it daily. and here's what it looks like new lmao: https://www.tannergoods.com/collections/classic-belts/products/classic-belt-natural
  23. I found Demarco footwear and Shoe Surgeon. Curious what they about, family. I'd rather go through the dude since it looks like he uses real leather--not that there's anything wrong with synthetic. Have you heard of the JDM brand Hender Scheme or Feit? Just looking at their shoes makes my lower back explode. r u there? pls.
  24. Yo, you good? You acting like a bot.
