  7. I ended up working real late last night, and since I am still on eastern time I was pretty tired. I've been walking around alot and finding alot of tags, and a ton of buff. The past 2 mornings I have eaten breakfast at Einsteins on 16th,... one of the bakers had a big "88" tattooed on his neck.... Is there is big skinhead population here in Denver? Listen to Propagandhi's "The Only Good Fascist is A Very Dead Fascist" ... they always seem to put a good amount of comedy in there political message to make there views go down easier... I love dem' Canadians.
  8. I wouldn't say cheating your way threw high school is stupid. I cheated my way threw alot of it, basically becuase 90% of my curriculum was complete garbage and I didn't need to know it. But about doing stupid things,.... I had a really bad problem with stealing for a long time. It starting years ago with racking paint and lead to stealing everything else. It eventually got the best of me and when I stole a ton of shit from my friends (at the time) business. I was in a stump financially and thought I could get away with it. I let my problems cloud my vision, I talked myself into thinking it wouldn't matter... anyhoo I ended up getting busted (the only time) and ruined some good friendships. DUMB fucking ASSHOLE
  9. Hopefully some more people will see this and give me some info... I am in Denver now. On my way to my hotel from the airport my cab driver had a blackbook sitting on the dash and was wearing a fishbone hat. He looked like one of those wierd, dirty, skinny metal kids. I was hoping to see some highway spots or something on the way and 2 things caught my eye.... If any Denver residents want to add some info to this page, please do..
  10. AKTR - EXTINCT ASP......what a hippie

  13. My work is sending me to Denver for a week and I need to know of some good places to eat (preferably vegetarian), some good coffee shops, record stores etc and so on. I am going to be staying in the Hyatt Regency on 1750 Welton Street. Is there anything in walking distance from there? On the web site it says it is 1 block from 16th Street Pedestrian Mall and 11 blocks from Union Station. With my luck I'll be S.O.L. Any help will be apreciated.
  14. http://www.cmt.com/img/june.carter.cash/junecartercash-21-189x182.jpg'> June Carter Cash -- singer, songwriter, actress, author and the daughter, wife, mother and stepmother of some of the brightest stars in the country music firmament -- died Thursday (May 15) at 5:04 p.m. at Baptist Hospital in Nashville of complications from heart surgery. She was 73. Valerie June Carter was born June 23, 1929, in Maces Springs, Va., to Ezra J. and Maybelle Addington Carter. Two years earlier, Maybelle -- with her cousin Sara and Sara's husband, A.P. -- had joined several other acts in the Virginia-Tennessee border town of Bristol to make a series of recordings that would launch country music as a distinct commercial art form. Taught by her mother to play autoharp, Carter gave her first public performance in 1937 along with her sisters, Helen and Anita, on a Bristol radio show. After the original Carter Family broke up in the early 1940s, she joined her mother and sisters to tour and perform on radio as the Carter Sisters. In 1949, she teamed up with the musical comics Homer & Jethro for a parody recording of "Baby, It's Cold Outside." Although it was not her first record, it was the first one to chart, reaching the No. 9 slot. The following year, she made her Grand Ole Opry debut. In 1952, Carter married fellow Grand Ole Opry star Carl Smith, who was then one of the hottest young acts in country music. Their daughter, Rebecca Carlene, was born in 1955. She would later achieve fame as Carlene Carter and gain her greatest prominence as a solo country artist in the early 1990s. June Carter and Smith divorced in the late 1950s. She then married Rip Nix, a union that produced another daughter, Rosie. Apart from performing with her mother and sisters, Carter also took time out in the 1950s to study acting at Actor's Studio and the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York. This led to roles in such TV series as Gunsmoke and Jim Bowie, as well as a part in the 1958 movie, Country Music Holiday. The Carters joined Johnny Cash's road show in 1961. Cash had a No. 1 hit in 1963 with "Ring of Fire," a song Carter co-wrote with Merle Kilgore. In 1967, Carter and Cash scored their first duet hit, "Jackson." It went to No. 2 on the country charts and won them a Grammy. They followed "Jackson" a few months later with "Long-Legged Guitar Pickin' Man," which climbed to No. 6. The two singers married in 1968. The next year, they won the Country Music Association award for vocal group of the year. Their 1970 recording of "If I Were a Carpenter" rose to No. 2 on the charts and earned them another Grammy. That same year, their son, John Carter Cash, was born. Carter penned two autobiographies -- Among My Klediments, published in 1979, and From My Heart, which came out in 1987. She released the solo album Press On in 1999. Her first such project since Appalachian Pride in 1975, Press On won her a Grammy for best traditional folk album. At the time of her death, she was recording an album for Dualtone Records. She and Cash performed together last September at the Americana Music Awards in Nashville. One of her last public appearances was on April 7 in Nashville at the CMT Flameworthy 2003 Video Music Awards, where she accepted a career achievement award on behalf of her husband, who had recently returned home after being hospitalized for pneumonia. She underwent surgery on May 7 to replace a heart valve.

  16. Don't forget BEYOND! Are they any other bands besides Silent Majority who have a emo song about painting trains? "...it moves from town to town, it covers the same ground"
  17. I played the PWAC 2-3 times and always had a blast there. Can you remind me who painted there? I just remember it being covered, and a majority of it was Grasper......imagine that.
  18. That is such a Uberhxcnerd question...The irony is that I am too OLD to know that. That is what 20 year olds know so that they can appear to be more down, but older dudes like me just don't give a shit. Plus... I was never really a big Warzone fan so,... I'm going to do some research anyway....
  19. Does anyone get the Revelation Records email updates?? I only get them becuase every week they list "Rev fun facts" about Revelation releases, band memebers, etc... Like...On the cover of "Bringin it down" what they hell are those 2 kids looking at while Porcell is doing his "guitar pose"?? Well... the cover photo was actually taken at a YOT show and those kids are looking at Ray jumping or something. ...heading to the Dragon's Lair!
  20. Nice EP photos serum... are you from INDY? I noticed the Gadje photos, along with photos from the shitcom. If those EP photos are from anywhere in the midwest, I was definetly at that show. Are those strife and ressurection photos from that fest in wisconson in 95?
  21. Autumn was pretty horrible. The only good thing about them is that they covered a moondog song once. My old band toured with autumn the summer before there Revelation/Crisis release came out.....uggghhh. They were some cool guys (some of them) ...but damn, they blew.
  22. I got the CLUTCH Pitchfork 7" (think it was their first one) http://www.pro-rock.com/pix/discography/pitchfork_7_cover_T.jpg'> Great record, especially for the time it came out.
