That one is fucking rad.

I'm too old to get arrested for graffiti.

That's one of the best quality videos I've seen in a long time.

The 5 gallons of orange paint is almost gone. :(

That's what I like to hear. I'm looking forward to using the paint with the Krylon-style valves. Best valve ever, in my opinion. A can with one of those, and a fixative style NY Thin is the best. I was under the impression that the valve is what changes the pressure feel for paint, not the actual amount of propellant in the can. No? I've torn apart many empties in my time, and I've noticed the valve is different on those high pressure european cans. Seems to have a faster flow rate.

East, did you ever get flicks of that shoddy chrome i did on the front of DCCS? I'd like to have a copy for my records, if you please.

I do know that even with the ugly 3D logo, the lack of US hypochondriac safety labeling everywhere makes this really dope looking. Judging by the 3D logo, those were made in the States between 1996-2000 or so. Don't know if it's the same overseas, though.

$10 Montana Gold is ridiculous. I hear they require shops to price it at a certain level. What writer can afford to buy that shit?
-
What are the Broma colors? Copper and Clear?

^that's me.

Holy shit. So many colors. I love Molotow, so I'm very envious.

3D? Haha. I've done like one ever. My brain doesn't work in three dimensions.

That's Kovet and Sleep RTD.

Wow, that's gotta be 96-97. Is that New Britain or Hartford? I don't remember painting that at all.
-
Please don't post that retarded shit again.

You can paint in the rain with it, too.

Up here in Denver, I got a few cases worth of Amber, but the Night Tide was priced only like $1 less than normal price, so I wasn't gonna pop on that.

Well, in all fairness, MTN has that "mid-day siesta" to deal with when producing their product. Deadlines? Worry about that in the afternoon, amigo! Hehe.

DF loves our backyard walls. Old man status.

I think it's a combination of some pigments being more opaque than others, and the base they have to start with. I don't know if it's the same as bucket paint, where the dark tint bases are basically clear, and the light bases are already pigmented with white, so coverage on dark colors is always going to be weaker than a midtone or pastel base. Even with tubed oil paints, which are essentially a linseed oil base mixed with straight pigment, yellows, dark blues and greens don't have a one coat coverage. It's just weaker pigments. Mix some white into them, and coverage increases dramatically.

I think a lot of writers are a little sketched out because there's so many new products flooding the market, mainly from China, and it doesn't seem like the same level of quality is behind them as the "western" brands. In the past two years it seems like chinese manufacturers have really jumped into the artist paint market with questionable product. After using the paint, no one can argue that the Chinese brands are on the same level as Belton, Rusto, or MTN. I understand that it's a different product, maybe geared towards a different segment of the market. In my own personal experience, the problems outweigh the low price, and I'm wary about any paint produced in China because of it. I don't think anyone is attacking Oink Art or you personally, or any other guy who's getting paint made in China. Its just that the consumer is much more wary now. I think where you're going with Fresh Paint seems like a good example for others to follow. I'd rather have 12 colors that work well and are compatible with each other than 100 colors that bleed, fade, bubble through, and won't spray with a thin cap.

I would be concerned that it would also remove the litho on the cans. If you just use a wire brush, it leaves the can with a smooth, black metal finish, like it's been tarnished. CLR works great, but you basically have to soak the object in it for several hours. The pitting from the rust is never going to go away, which would look pretty ugly in my opinion.

wer.e back white boy

With Artissin, I didn't mind the lack of coverage so much as the rusto valve the paint has. I got a can of the Mint Green and some red that was similar to Rusto Regal Red. It reminded me of late 90's Krylon in terms of coverage, which is workable. The valve is shit for any detail work, which defeats the purpose of artist-specific paint to me. The chinese paint is so cheaply made. It fades so quick out here in the Colorado sun, especially the pinks, and the purple/pink/red bleed thru is the deal breaker for me. I like the price, but damn. Even Walmart paint never bled through white.
