  1. I was looking at moving to Texas 5yrs ago, but ended up moving to northern Illinois instead. nothing against Texas, I love it down there and the people are legit, but I found a good deal on a hopuse and I'm not to far from my friends and family in Chicago. My Neighbors are cool as fuck, I'm not spending all my money "just to pay the bills", and I have a big ass garage. Honestly I can't stand Illinois politics, but Madigan is on his way out so hopefully we can get away from rubberstamp policies and get this state back on track.
  2. Back in the day I used to do a lot of residential moves as a contractor driving for a van line. Texas by far has some of the nicest people on earth, I used to joke with them about it because I used to say "the only reason your so down to earth is because everyone is packing heat in Texas". They would be like like "isn't everyone packing heat in Chicago?" Yeah you got me there lol Also it's the only place where the people we were moving actually helped out and on top of that we ended the day with some juicy steaks and good beer. They just get to work in that state. I just Hope the exodus from Cali doesn't ruin that old school Texas hospitality
  3. I guess the question we should be asking is what social media platforms are using our personal information for Targeted advertising? ways to keep an individual engaged on social media? The beginning of a social credit system? Is Tupac still alive?
  4. I never got into the whole social media thing. Long story short, when FB and Myspace where gaining popularity I was just getting started working in politics. When one of the older staff members and myself were having a conversation about the whole "social media movement", and its gives and takes. He pretty much told me to stay away from it at all costs for a variety of reasons, so I did and I don't regret it. 12oz is the exception for me, and that's because I like the people here I'll have been a member here for 20yrs this October (yeah I had to look that up), not that I expect anyone to give a shit but I believe that speaks volumes for the people past and present I've had conversations with on this site
  5. I spy a blurred out Tapatio hot sauce bottle in the fridge
  6. I was a couch potato all day. I don't even want to take the garbage out
  7. I literally bought operation doomsday because I liked the cover back in the day. At one point a fellow DJ offered me $300 for it because it was out of print and hard to find. R.I.P. MF
  8. I get free bigelow tea from work, I like the cinnamon stuff
  9. hurting like a motherfucker. I jumped into the shower as soon as I got home and did the icey hot thing, listening to tunes and drinking a couple so I can do it all over again tomorrow
  10. hahahaha Dhabz, I put some reverse mounted lights on my ladder rack to get some revenge on all these tailgaiting fucks where I live. sometimes I"ll just downshift 2 gears in the 5.0 to let 'em know I'm not fucking around. but at the same time a F350 would put its front bumper in my backseat if the driver wasn't paying attention. My usual move is to just drive slow as shit so they just pass me up, no need to spill my coffee at 4am on the way in to work over some ass clown driving like he's taking left turns for a living.
  11. Finally recovering from Christmas partying.
  12. That is a beast of a bumper Dhabz, it'll probably last longer then the truck. Are you going to put backup lights or break lights in those holes?
  13. originally it had a 4.2l inline 6 with a 4 peed. but over time the engine and transmission needed a rebuild, but for the same cost I put in a rebuilt (myself) 5.3l chevy and NV4500 transmission. The Transfer case is the original Np208 with a clocking ring and an input out of an NP241 so it would mate up to the transmission. the driveshafts I had custom made locally, and now I'm just knocking out the loose ends like: brakes, hydraulic clutch, and electrical. The good thing about AMC made Jeeps is they outsourced a lot of parts from the other big three car manufacturers so finding replacements or upgrades is pretty affordable, and the fact that most of the mods I'm doing only requires some basic hand tools. The bad thing is the wiring on these old Jeeps are complete trash and I have been replacing every piece before I'll put this rig back on the road. The other bad thing is the teenage Krylon2 did a bunch of ghetto rigging to this old truck back in the day and I wish I could go back in time to slap the shit out of him. I can still feel the disapproval from my Dad when he saw what I did back then.
