I haven't been caught since 1985. Lucky for me. I had just started rocking a new name and I was still a minor. Cops kept asking me if i knew who DEMO41 was. (it was me :D ) I said "I never heard of him". The days of paying fines and community service are over now that I'm no longer a minor and Graff is a felony. All graffiti is flicked and catalogued for the specific purpose of coming down REAL hard on a muhfucker. The stakes have risen for the art of destruction. Are you down to stay up? I am.....
  6. I know I posted this in the 'throwups' thread but, since it got put on the 2nd page and only one person saw it. I figured I'd post it again. http://www.freephoto-i.net/users/MOE/moethrow.jpg'> Welcome to mid-town DNA-level-C
  7. I dig this thread so much I went out last night so I could add a little contribution. welcome to mid-town DNA-level-C...http://www.freephoto-i.net/users/MOE/moethrow.jpg'>
  8. I remember this one episode from San Francisco when they stopped these kids who fit the profile or "looked like" graffiti vandals according to the cops. That's right! "LOOKED LIKE" hahaha!!! These nerds were high flossin' tags and stickers all over their shit. Jackets and sacks. Sure enough, they had cans, magnums, and blackbooks. The cops proceeded to try and match up tags from their peicebooks to see if they had hit anything near where they were stopped. So as to have a real reason for stopping them. NOT A DAMN TAG MATCHED!! These kids did'nt even get up. FUCKING AMATEURS for gettin' made by the po' without even layin' it down!
  9. Ain't that some shish? Tell that fool a writer only looks like a writer when he's writing. Reguardless of his or her gear.
  10. TAKE THE LOOT!! And if I were you, I'd make that shit tight looking. If you do a wak peice just to get over, then you'll have peeps sayin' you're a toy. Even if it's just straight letter, font style. It's still a nice lil' opportunity. $300 is $300 for something you like to do. Take advantage of that shit yo. I would.
  11. You should post a flick of that peice to get specific feedback. Sounds dope though!
  12. YO SEEKINGINNOCENCE Anyone who says someone dont know what their talking about... speaks too soon. But since you think you know me...let me respond son. I first off stated that Graff most likely got it's start when the first cities were built. You had to have a wall to write on and it had to be illegal. The Egyptian pyramids show evidence of graffiti by workers as well as some buildings in ancient Babylon. This dates true illegal Graff to around 3000 BC. TAKI was'nt famous for handstyles like STAY HIGH but he got hella up's across the tri-state area as well as down Florida and the Mid-West. Back in the early 70's it was strictly tags. Markers first then spraycans. I'm almost positive that TAKI's newsworthy fame is what inspired the style pioneers to seek the same fame. Regardless if he was a toy. I'm not sure who inspired bubble letters before BLADE or PHASE2 but writers like them inspired the style in Graff wee see today. when you add your 2 cents. don't expect change. :king:
  13. True that , true that. but most cave men drawings are for educational purposes like hunting and so forth. It was'nt until cities were built like Egypt or Babylon that a worker or some poor schmuck would write his name on an inner city public wall in memorum. It was'nt untill the late 60's and early 70's that muhfuckahs like TAKI and PHASE2 did it for fame...and the beat went on and goes on.................................................................................................  :king:
  14. DAMN BRO! e-mail me those flyers and I'll try and post'em for ya! I'd like to check them shits out! moesolo@netzero.net Mode2 got mad characters...
  15. Old school, New school.....as long as it's True school!
  16. BOMBING is what Graff is. A better bomber with tight handskills and can control will most likely do a better peice than an art nerd. A better bomber can also execute a an illegal wildstyle peice on main street. Thats Graffiti!:king:
  17. The letters are nice but you have them overlapping. That's cool, I'd like to see how they'd look a little farther apart. Good color scheme too.
  18. SEK True that! But with this weather...Tis the season to be bombing! My cans would freeze up before I layed my second color down. Quick two color bombs I think is all the physics of winter will allow. You down for a mainstreet BILLY or two? I'll get back wit you on that. PEACE!
  19. Once again, thanks for all the positive feed back. Joe Kubert and J. Scott Cambell are the shit. Although I'm not directly influenced by Cambell I think the two of us have similar, earlier influences like John Byrne and Jim Lee. I'll post the masterbating chicana as soon as someone can tell me how a Rookie becomes a Member of 120z. Here are some promos....I'll hit you up today Zak2. http://www.freephoto-i.net/users/MOE/bluelitecopy1%5B1%5D.jpe.jpg'>http://www.freephoto-i.net/users/MOE/beatnutsVIPa%5B1%5D.jpe.jpg'> http://www.freephoto-i.net/users/MOE/PRaekwon%5B1%5D.jpe.jpg'>http://www.freephoto-i.net/users/MOE/CUBANLINXfront1a%5B1%5D.jpe.jpg'> http://www.freephoto-i.net/users/MOE/write...%5B1%5D.jpe.jpg
  20. Mexican Girls easily done Mexican Girl request: easily done. But first tell me...How does a rookie become a member? Oh and yeah, there's a trick to keeping your outlines crisp. Does anybody else know it? I also do Hip Hop promos for a living. Been thinking of doin' tats but I don't have the stomach for needles and blood. You never know what you could catch regardless of latex gloves, nameen?
  21. Thanks for the positive feedback. The flying carpet girl is in pencil and the egyptian girl is inked. I don't usually copy anymore unless it's of a specific girl I know. I try to keep each sketch a little different from another and switch my styles up. Never had the loot to go to school for it so I learned to draw women from looking at playboy mags. (still the best reference:D ) I've been going by MOE since 1985. Here's some digitally colored shit........... http://www.freephoto-i.net/users/MOE/D8%5B1%5D.jpe.jpg'>http://www.freephoto-i.net/users/MOE/D2%5B1%5D.jpe.jpg'>http://www.freephoto-i.net/users/MOE/D1%5B1%5D.jpe.jpg'>http://www.freephoto-i.net/users/MOE/D4%5B1%5D.jpe.jpg'>
