  1. Listen to a Mozart string quartet, then listen to a Bartok string quartet, and see if you can hear a difference between the two.
  2. I hope this is new to ya'll, but either way, it's some good times waiting to be had...if you have nothing better to do, which if you're reading this, it's likely you don't. Anyway, cheers! 1.
  3. I like this one better, but it's a quarter.
  4. Friday- Went to museum with fine lady friend/potential girlfriend Did a gig at this fancy ass hotel Hung out with good friends, and we: Played NHL 2004 for PS2, drinking hockey Ordered food Played "Balls", a blackjack style drinking game All this rendered me completely smashed status Saturday- Recovering from last night Listening to music, taking it easy, drinking gallons and gallons of H20 Probably go hang by the river with another lady friend Go do gig, then hang with potential girlfriend Pass the fuck out Sunday- Not doing brunch gig, so just gonna lay low Go for a run if I feel up for it Do a rehearsal, then hang with potential girl Bonus section- I might buy some ice cream later, that's about it Oh, maybe do laundry too PS- Kilo, I found out last week that I'm part Canadian. Cool shit eh?
  5. Hell yes, I was just thinking VICE would be the spot for you.
  6. Yes, I like Wilco. For once I agree with you...nah, just kidding, I don't even know most of the bands you talk about, so I can't judge.
  7. I guess I can see why I would be on someone's ignore list. I don't really add anything to this board, never really say anything that gets people riled up or shit like that, so why bother? But then again, I don't post nearly as much as a lot of people, so in that sense I'm wondering why I would be on ignore in the first place. Lastly, though, I really don't give two fucks. What I really care about right now is finishing my beer, and going to sleep so I can wake up at 5 30 am to go to work.
  8. Oh yeah, anyone in the NYC area, check out WKCR 89.9 (online at wkcr.org) They have jazz programming from 6 am to 9 40, from noon to 3, and from 6 to 9, and that's just weekdays. They do in depth musician profiles, give the whole history...if you're getting into jazz definitely check that out.
  9. i'd rather drink bud light, coors light, miller light, than heineken any day...i mean, if those were the only 4 beers available, of course, cuz I like a ton of other beers.
  10. Dude, the only thing I'm smokin outta these days is an old poland spring bottle, a hollowed bic pen, and tin foil...how pathetic is that? I'm certainly not living up to my name.
  11. That's the kind of shit I would do in college, late at night, but usually it would be to go to a diner and order huge orders of french toast, which is really like eating a bunch of soggy bread dipped in raw eggs...mix that with booze and I'm done.
  12. Holy shit, these photo series makros is posting has me dying. I don't get cable here, and once I move I think I would rather have internets than cable, and the place I might be getting is a wireless hot spot which equals free internet. The only reason I would want cable is, Daily Show, Chappelle Show, reruns of Ren and Stimpy (if they still show that even), and that's about it I think...maybe some movie channels would be good too. But really, as long as I can watch Blind Date, I'm set. Don't sleep on that show, best reality show ever, end of argument.
  13. My poor dog, last spring, had his kidneys fail on him. To me, this dog was like a blood brother, and anyone who has ever had a pet knows exactly what I'm talking about. I helped picked this dog out of the litter, and he was a part of my family for over 15 years. When his kidneys failed, he just wasn't himself, and I could see in his eyes that he was not at all happy with his situation. He was just skin and bones towards the end, had nowhere near the ammount of energy he had, even for a 15 year old dog (he had so much youth his whole life, right up to the end). we could have put him on dialisis (sp?), on an I.V., and he would have regained some strength, and had some nutrients put back in and all that, but that would only be temporary, and he would eventually crash and be worse off than he was to begin with. He wasn't in a comfortable situation to begin with, and he would be even less comfortable if we had tried to rejuvinate him. To myself and my parents, as hard as it was, the best thing we thought we could do would be to put him to sleep. He had lived a full life, and was clearly in lots of pain, and so we just wanted what would make him the most comfortable. I was there when the whole thing happened, saw his eyes, one second filled with his life, and the next just gone, where to I still think about to this day. As you know, dogs cant talk, and we had to just assume that this was what was best for him. If you want to call me a dog killer, go right ahead, but I'm glad he went out like that, and not with his legs hooked to an IV so that he could "live" another month or two, full of pain and stress. Anyway, I'm not sure what this has to do with this thread, but I'm gonna check and make sure I filled out my health care proxy so that in the event that I get into a terrible accident and my brain stops functioning, I can still have control over myself in some way and have done to me whatever I wish.
  14. What, I put a sock in my pants all the time.
  15. That's a tough one. CAn't you buy the protection program a year after you get the machine, and that way get 4 years of service? But then again, in 4 years that shit'll be outdated...I really don't know anything, but what I'm trying to figure out is if I should get an Apple or another brand when i do decide to drop some dough on a laptop.
  16. congrats man, best of luck to you and yours... if i ever get around to doing that, i want to do it while i'm relatively young and still have energy. i don't want to be like 53 (a lil extreme, i know) raising a 6 year old who needs a father who will go nuts with him doing crazy shit little kids do...then again, maybe i'll still be going nuts when i'm 53... who knows, but good luck!!
