cleveland has an.. odd scene for a city its size. i can count the amount of active writers on both of my hands. there were a bunch of old school dudes painting in the late 80s early 90s, but they've gone on to galleries and stuff.. things didnt really start happening again till like 4 years ago, i just started painting last summer. most of the writers that are around now have only been painting for about 3 years except for a few. there's a few hard bombers, but the city is really pretty bare. there are 3 (count em 3) people who do frieghts on a regular basis. pretty much all pieces are on a abanonded building thats a daytime spot, and along the train line that goes through the city. what's funny, is that the crews in cleveland are really segregated.. the blacks (CST) the whites (with 1/4th black) (OTR), and the whites are divided into the smokers (MPC) and the non-smokers (OTR).. heheh.. um yeah, really small scene tho, hopefully will get better.
