  1. Snagged Reconstruction 7-8-79 Betty Board last night. The sound is killer. I' going to try and get it uploaded and linked tonight.
  2. Damn straight. Place is a total shitshow today. (total shitshow being more of a shitshow than it typically is)
  3. Then end of that Reba is quintessentially 94 Trey. Nothing like it. Coincidentally, that was the tour I got started on- Spring tour '94. That was great. The peak of this Antelope falls in the same category. Hurry up with the tour dates, already!
  4. Awesome Tweezer. You picked the right tour to get started on, that's for sure.
  5. FTR, going to check out this local GD cover band tonight "Playing Dead." I checked them out about a month ago and had a real good time. They've got some interesting setlist, last time in the 2nd set they pulled a Scarlet -> Fire -> William Tell Bridge -> The Eleven I was stoked. Good stuff, stoked for tonight. Dancing Deadhead milfs FTW.
  6. I think it is, shai, but not positive.
  7. Bird Song acoustic RCMH NYC 1980 Probably old news to most, (though, there's only like 5 people that actually post in here) still incredible. Any day now on those tour dates, and fuck a Bonnaroo (still the only one listed). That shit doesn't even count.
  8. http://www.pressofatlanticcity.com/communities/atlantic-city_pleasantville_brigantine/atlantic-city-council-approves-four-summer-music-festivals-for-bader/article_611c6fe0-4253-11e1-8210-001871e3ce6c.html
  9. Jersey festival rumors are starting to fly in full force.
  10. From the pics, it looks like you click on the trackpad just like Apple.
  11. Too good. The Mountain Song P.E.R.R.O. Tapes
  12. It seems like open ended jams are a thing of the past for the Phish, save for the occasional show. This bothered me at first, but the jam length wasn't nearly as much of an issue to me as it was how they were sounding and gelling (or not gelling, rather), especially during 2009. They're sounding leaps and bounds better than 09, and I've accepted the fact that they're just not going to be as good as they were went I was seeing them 15, 18 years ago. I look at it not as lowered expectations, but just accepting that times change and you have to roll with them. That being said, they were really on at the Colorado run and I was definitely hoping for a continuation of that at MSG. Clearly they weren't practicing as much as they should have been. Trey sounds like he's firing on (close enough to) all cylinders since summer 11. In fact, so does the rest of the band, they really do need to either keep up the touring or practicing more during the time off. As far as the "canned sound" I hear ya. It's pretty obvious that when they hit the first note of a song now, they've got a real good idea when they're going to hit the last note of it. If they don't want to put on 30 minute experimental jams anymore, so it is, but if they're going to perform like this, it would be nice to hear them at least get the song to be cohesive from beginning to end. I don't understand why they're still constantly flubbing composed sections. (not practicing enough, i guess). Even in the songs where they are going to go off on a jam, they cant seem to get the composed sections right. Listen to the Piper from the run. The Jam is great, but it starts off so damn rocky and an intro that could take 10+ minutes is now done in two. Again, it is what it is, but couldja at least get through those two minutes without sounding like shoes in the dryer? Summer tour dates? Your guess is as good as mine. Rumors are flying about a fest in Jersey. I'd like to see them back at Watkins Geln. Either way, I'll be at a few of them....force of habit.
  13. NYE was good, but I can't say I haven't seen them play better shows on new years. Haven't heard it all yet but the 28th takes it from what I have gotten to give a good listen to from the run. Cities, Carini>Tweezer, HOOD.
  14. Last night rocked. I'm buying into the Steam hype after hearing it live. Back to reality on Tuesday.
  15. Streamed last night. The show was SOLID. Streaming tonight, heading to NY on Friday. Stoked for NYE.
  16. I didn't think they were going to kill off Jimmy, but looking back, it had come to light just exactly how tormented his character was, and it makes more sense. Dude needed to and more or less wanted to die. Plus, Nucky kinda proved that he's a gangster. I'd be worried if I were Margaret next season.
  17. Lower 300's Page side, but I'll inevitably be in the upper 400's dancing like a....like a spunion, naturally. Edited- I must have been real drunk to spew that kid of shit. I can't tell if i was being sarcastic or letting on that I actually believe in that kind of shit. Whoops.
  18. ....AND let's just consider the stash>manteca>stash>dog faced boy>stash from 11 14 95 to be required listening.
  19. Also, we're simply shouldn't talk about the amount of money I hemorrhage in order to get a NYE ticket. The funny thing is, as obscene as the price was, I like to think that Phish tour paid for it, in a sense. It's been a long road...
  20. Bout time this thing picked back up. Queuing up 9-29-80 Got an email from an old friend today preaching joys of the scarlet from 4-23-77
  21. That gif kinda says it. ^^ Jimmy Darmody is fucked on such a multitude of levels that it's stunning.
  22. Also just noticed that xACT converts .shn to wav, too. As far as I know shn isn't used at all anymore once flac came out, but it's still good to have this. I've got a shit load of old shows in shn that I'd converted to wav, burned to disc, and lost or destroyed them long ago. a lot of the stuff on etree.org is still available in that format, too.
  23. Found the flac>wav convertor and just reinstalled it. Works like a charm. xACT
  24. Thanks for the Reconstruction shai! I know that site, too, that dude posts sick shows. RL, it opened no prob on mac using RAR Expander.
  25. I went to check for the software and realized that even though I've had my current computer for close to a year, there's still a lot of software missing on this that was on the other machine. All I can remember off the top of my head is the icon was the kid from the where the wild things are. I'll figure it out. This was also for snow leopard, so I'll check for what's out there for lion. Reconstruction is sick, shai. I've only heard it on disc years back, but it was dope. I'm looking forward to the torrent, abcs.
