Made a few things from scratch this weekend. I was on a spicy kick...
CHILI!
I had never made chili so I used this as a base:

I upped the cayenne and added a jalepeno, cut back on the veggies just a tiny bit, added more beer, more garlic, less cumin, tons of spices, etc. Point being, it was a good base but I made it 5 alarm and it made my girlfriends and my nose sweat. The bread was onion bread. It was really good.
This was a slow cooker.
+London Broil cut beef, chipoltle in adobo, onion, garlic, canned tomatoes, cumin and again a million spices.
+Guac sauce: Avacado, sour cream, cilantro, lime, roast garlic, red onion.
+Salsa: Tomato, roasted corn, roasted garlic, cilantro, cumin, chunky red onion.
+Wheat tortilla
Mango and/or strawberry and /or lime margarita for the past few days. Mostly straight Hornitos to the dome. Cheers.
