  1. Last time I went to DC I went to the zoo. I got there late and all the animals were back in their enclosures. That sucked so to make myself feel better I found the IRS building and spit on it.

  2. “High”er date. Haha. don’t know if that was intentional but it’s funny what is not funny was my evaluation. I am not happy the person who did my evaluation is around 3 days of my work week and rarely sees me work. told me I should be happy becaue I got the highest marks in the grow. nope. Like. Big no. will circle back after deep thought how to handle this. unfortunately, for them. I’m very demanding. Not afraid of confrontation, and I usually end up getting my way. whole staff gets cost of living increase but we’re still in the red so merit raises are “coming” I make more them most there. I’m good with that.

  4. Evaluation day y’all. 2 yrs and a few months with this company. Ive gotten pay bumps but no one has ever gave me an evaluation on paper or in person. I have one super and one manager above me. (And our new cultivation director) ps. I’ve never been evaluated. Ever. I’ve been an independent contractor up until employment with this company.

  5. @SMdoubleXLmost companies I've worked for treat performance evals as a way to try and let you know that you should be lucky to even have a job. Regardless of your actual performance and skill set. The last job I worked at for some one else was the best thing that ever happened because they made their perspective of me crystal clear. When they asked me how I thought I was doing, I told them "I'm 100% good. I got this." This dick head did that sucking noise through his teeth and said "100% huh? That's like saying you have nothing left to learn from us." I told him "Y'all hired me based on my experience, not because you needed some one to teach. I also know you've been sending me to redo 100% of your top paid guys repairs all month and I'm leaving out of these houses 100% with no complaints." I didn't realize the owner of the company was out in the hallway listening in until I heard him start laughing. My interviewer was hot boy. Soon there after he pulled me off of all the Davis Bacon work we were doing and my pay plummeted back down to $12 an hour. I quit soon after and started my own thing. I don't recommend this for you, but just for some perspective on what the evaluation process is really all about.

  9. Mostly correct. Officer vs noncommissioned officer (nco). E4 is the rank before you become a sergeant/nco (e5). In the army its specialist, in the marine corps its Lance corporal, in the other branches you're a guaranteed pog so it doesn't matter. E4 was so much fun. No paper work to do, if you fuck up the dude above you catches flack for thinking you were ready for the responsibility and you keep skating. In a weird way they have a lot of power, hence "mafia." Much more to discuss, but I'm drunk.

  14. this looks good. Not so fussed about pretty boxes etc. but the outtakes book. Hoo MAMA 800 never before seen photos by Martha Cooper. MARTHA COOPER SIGNED LIMITED EDITION TWO BOOK BOX SET This limited edition collection includes a special hardbound version of Spray Nation signed by Martha Cooper on vellum. Plus, the exclusive never-to-be-reprinted softbound Outtakes book, only available here. The Box Set weighs over seven pounds and has a magnetic closing flat, ribbon, both books, six postcards and an oversized poster, making this a must for any book collection. BEYOND THE STREETS worked closely with Cooper to assemble over 800 photos - many pulled from dozens of boxes of slides that had not been opened since they were first shot over 40 years ago.

  15. I avoid the subject altogether for the most part, the hardest part is passing on good jokes until after a few of those type fall flat or fly over people's heads. Most people never have questioned anything, and I find that questionable.

  21. False: Funny story though. When the drink first came out, and if I remember correctly, my mom bought once for our school lunches. Went to school with it and during lunch that's when my mom found out it was an alcoholic beverage. TPBM: Is looking for a new place to live so they can grow their own.

  25. That's real good man. Get back out there. Try and catch it again. I feel like you are doing the most good in making this thing weaker for the rest of us. Also I just heard some one call Trump supporters TRUMPLE THINSKINS. LOLZ

  26. Weird how that dude intentionally murdered a quarter million for literally no reason at all. The only thing that happened to him is he was a hated for it over a decade, but now everyone likes him again because he said a few mean things about Trump when his brother ran against him and it gained traction so he went with it.

  27. So far the tile looking fresh - a real cousin would be working regardless of injury bruh…..tell your cousin to recover on his own time. As the son of a general contractor we know the general rule: Cheap, Fast, Good - pick two. On a sidenote I have a small project at the house starting when my pops recovers from teh covids. Eliminating a wall between kitchen and loving room which will allow me a better dining table situation because /nodiningroomoner I will update the thread when actual work is done. (I picked good and cheap btw) lolz

  29. I can't believe it's taken me this long to read this whole thread from the beginning. Amazing. So a bird or something shit some seeds into a concrete pad I have in my back yard. I now have a tree about 2 feet tall that is producing these flowers. These bad boys are overwhelmingly floral, almost a soapy citrus smell maybe. They grow everywhere around here but I don't know what they are called.

  34. From my point of view chin scratching and wondering about what makes an addict is irrelevant in relation to recovery, if you identify in yourself that you are an addict is what matters. Having other people or text books or medical professionals say it is all just noise. That said I have always liked the definition that adds "progressive" to "compulsive" in order to round it out meaning that the behavior that separates addicts from other users is compulsive use that gets progressively worse. I was out of work when I made the decision to quit drinking, I had just finished up a worker retraining program and suddenly had a clear schedule. It did not take long for progression to really start picking up speed and I was doing shit like having a screwdriver before coffee which can be cool on vacation or whatever but not so much on like a Wednesday at 6:45 in the morning. Even the progression thing can be a little slippery right, that is why I mentioned the out of work bit, it was the removal of a barricade that allowed my behavior to accelerate. I wrestle sometimes with how secure my recovery is in that I have a lot of barriers up right now, I have a wife who does not drink and expects for me not to drink or use, I have a job that takes up many hours of my time and other obligations. But all that shit can be transitory, maybe I loose the job and wife, will I still be so smooth sailing on using? But this is just like, my opinion, I am not active in recovery and am pretty uninterested in what is in vouge at the moment. I never did the steps, have not attended a meeting in a decade and have always been somewhat skeptical about both the step system and medical establishment on these issues. Which does not mean that they are not interesting or evolving, fat ralphy probably has some good input on definitions especially if he is still in the field. I was really turned off a few years ago at how much hype was getting thrown at pharmaceutical solutions to opioid abuse. I am still sober, and my life is all the better for it. I miss the idea of using sometimes but never really the actual outcomes and consequences.
