  1. Out stretching the legs. Scoping the world, had some random get suspicions as to my intentions which inspired him to have his kids film him on their phones while he informed me that he always has a gun and that he knows I am taking pictures so that I can come back later to steal. Some people have no sense.

  2. @misteravenI've read your post about Italy and I've seen @Europepost as well. Whilst I aint going to tick off abuse or whatever I can see where he is coming from. Pretty much every country in the world is responding to the outbreak in a similar way - with serious concern and extraordinary reactions never seen, in our lifetimes at least. These are not health professionals, emergency management teams, virologists and epidemiologists all getting their news from the mainstream media. These are professionals that are acting on centuries of study, experience and accumulated knowledge. You go from country to country, culture to culture, civilisation to civilisation and they are all pretty much responding the same way, informed by science. You don't think that there are times where you look at something like this and think - They are experts, they have specialised training, experience and knowledge that I don't have and they all are in basic agreement on this. They are likely to be right.

  4. Could have sworn we had a good podcast thread somewhere but didn’t pop up. This is sort of a different take, so... Anyhow, I’ve been a fan of podcasts for a while. Used to listen to them a ton when waiting and riding the subway back when I was still in NYC and still regularly listen to them now. I’ve even occasionally linked you guys to podcasts or podcast episodes when they were relevant to a topic. Lately I started assisting an individual that has a pretty successful podcast (basically his full time gig) that he started after being interviewed by Joe Rogan (another famous podcaster in case you live under a rock). Over the years I’ve had a lot of people approach me about a 12ozProphet Podcast (nice ring to that), but have sort of dismissed it based on generally being busy as fuck and perpetually behind as is. But I had a conversation the other day with @Grassy Knowlesand another yesterday with @psm026that has me almost convinced on doing this. Right time and maybe right situation. I won’t go into full details on my reasoning for doing it, but the short version is that something @Grassy Knowlessaid that resonated... We need to stop relying on what 12oz was and instead start thinking about reinventing 12oz for what it needs to be moving forward. In other words, connecting and creating relevancy in this era. We had an amazing thing back in the day, but that was back in the day. I still believe the forum is important and I still believe that long form, free discussion will become increasingly relevant in the future (this whole global quarantine situation is a sort of wake up to that). I’m unsure what form online discussions will take, but I do believe a podcast is very relevant and becoming even more so and could be a tremendous compliment to the forum, brand and all else. The cost of entry is low and if we can execute at a level 12oz has done historically, we’d probably be ahead of the game. It would circumvent the stupid games and algorithms of social media and allow a very simple and free method to reengage and connect with old and especially new audiences. Anyhow, I’m most likely going to give this a shot. I have a very early, very loose idea of what I’d like to do and how I’d like to approach this. I’d love to hear your thoughts and maybe pick your brains a bit on this. Those that really participate in here will be given behind the scenes access to the project as it unfolds. Most likely, we’ll do a few rest episodes as a beta I’ll share with select people for feedback, so if you know anything on the subject or are genuinely interested, join in. Again, I’m in the earliest stages of this process but likewise, I’m going to hold back a bit to give me time to process my thoughts and ideas. I’ll also likely move this discussion to a private discussion if we get a good crew and active discussion going in this thread. The premise as it stands, is a flexible format, likely including 2 - 3 “hosts” plus guest(s). The subject matter will be varied from expected topics (graffiti, art, etc) to obvious topics (photography, fashion, etc) to timely topics (privacy, politics, etc). I think a big part of the success of Joe Rogan is he’s a representation of the ‘every day man’ that listens to him. Very down to earth and very relatable. I’m considering something similar for the 12ozProphet Podcast. Covering a range of subjects, spoken through a voice and lens that people in our demographic can relate to. Same way we were covering broader social topics back in the day (Think the Os Gemeos) interview which was little to do with graffiti if you actually read it), I’d like to keep exploring from that direction. Because 12ozProphet Magazine was actually inspired by Magazines like George, Colors and Wired, we were sort of trying to do something along the lines of Vice, long before Vice existed. Anyhow, it’s early in the process and m sort of brainstorming out loud right now, but this is where I’m at and how I’m currently thinking about it. I welcome your feedback, ideas, references, suggestions, insights, knowledge on this. Here’s your chance to speak up and perhaps influence a whole new direction for 12ozProphet. Thanks for reading and hearing me out.

  5. @Schnitzel @Fist 666 indont know your ex or your sister (Or either of you to be frank ) but I wouldn’t wish it (or the stress of it) upon any one that I may even remotely know. for being quarantined/lockdown or whatever the fuck each city or state is doing-I have seen more activities involving people on my social media feeds. Tattooing from home, salon services from home, birthday parties (having cake that someone just blew candles out) public outings. Quarantine parties/gatherings. Massive lines at markets and stores. Isn’t this the exact opposite of what we’re supposed to be doing? Call me paranoid -but I’d rather be called paranoid than sick and yes. I’m still going to work BUT they did really want us to understand a few things in all seriousness last week. We have staggered our schedules a bit We don’t have lunch together and we do keep a safe distance from each other. But what really stood out to me is when they told me (because they know my situation) that they will support me if I choose to stay home or stay at work more -whichever I feel safest.

  6. Been putting off fixing flat tires for a hot minute. I’ve got nothing but time to kill around the house these days, and thinking of new ways to get exercise.

  11. Yo. I hate to be that guy, but the first time I ever fired a shotgun, I shot it off in the house on accident. I blew a hole through my wifes dresser and shredded all her clothes in that drawer. Two things I didnt expect; it wasnt as loud as I thought it would be, and I fired it one handed like a gangster and the kick wasnt as hard as I thought it would be.

  12. Don't come across many decent/traditional ciders in Aus, will have to keep an eye out for some. I've been planning a few homebrew ciders for the Mrs, always take the easy way out and use decent store bought juice as a base.. 18ish litres of apple and or pear with a litre or 2 of fresh squeezed juice, some black currents or frozen berries or something for a bit of flavour then ferment out for 2 weeks with cider yeast. Fill the keg up, back sweeten with lactose if you like them sweet (I prefer them a bit dry) 20L/5Gal of easy cider ready to go

  13. Looks like it is being decided for us. For now... Perhaps one could say, "The blind leading the blind" and be completely right about it. But I think things will go back to normal. Just as normal as before Epstien didn't kill himself and right after Epstien didn't kill himself. Masses will have to go back to their normal routines because that's how it works. Think of it as a fire drill. Everyone flips out, follows protocol, it's a drill, sigh of relief, back to work/school. This is just a test of the emergency Rona system. You have now been corn teen'd.

  14. When there is only four of us there-we do the best we can. we have to change shoes and clothes upon entering our locker room. Then mask and glove up, hair up, and covered, eye wear before we enter the hallways. we do all we can. But like he told us. If we aren’t comfortable with it to stay home. unfortunately our contractors were laid off -we would see them occasionally -but it is just us there now.

  28. For shame, @mr.yuck @Dirty_habiT imo, optics for a home defense shot gun, maybe shotguns in general, are unnecessary. When you get to the range get an idea of what your single shot spread looks like at different ranges in 5 foot increments starting at about 5 foot off. And I wholly second raven's suggestion for a pressure switch on your light. Depending on where you are shooting, take some pieces of drywall scrap and have a variety of rounds to get an understanding of what it's going to do in your home. I keep turkey shot in my quick grab home defense weapon. I don't know if you live in a house with close neighbors or an apartment, but understanding what happens to your round after potentially leaving through your exterior walls goes back to the four basic rules. You don't need slugs or 00 buck to stop a toilet paper thief. Re: cleaning. A Bore snake a must own item, imo.

  30. https://www.thecollectivepodcast.com/ This isn't graffiti related but design related. I really like how every show has notes and there are links to things that are discussed, books, music, etc. I think visuals need to go along with a graff podcast. Another evolution would be to do a video that could be streamed, recorded and posted back to youtube.

Some in small groups, some just fishing alone. But haven’t seen that many yet can’t wait to see this magnolia tree in full bloom and I have no idea what this is sidewalk art (and not pictured-man I man window giving a friendly wave as I snapped this) spring blooms are still blooming amongst the madness

  36. Depending on what type of shotgun you got, you can get a small clamp with a section of picatinny rail for you lighting system. I have a Remington 870 and use this one from Mesa Tactical. It does the job. Be sure to loctite the screws. With this system you can get a simple flashlight mount and you’re good to go. Likely there are better options out there this is just the one I use. tritium sights don’t have anything to do with a flashlight they are the little glowing dots on the iron sights. I suggest an army/navy surplus for a sling. You can get some smoking deals.
