i'm not big on fame, or even crushing a city. but to me some of the best spots hardly ever get hit because they arent visable to most people. like sewers, under seats, inside hand dryers, behind bushes. ect i was just wondering your views on visability in graffiti.

Anyone care to discuss the Graffiti seen in the united states in relation to the decade and state (ei.. NY , Ca, etc) I was a grafitti writer from the 1990's .. joined a crew spend hours in my room prefecting, writing styles, throw ups, and pieces.. It took me a good couple years to have a clean writing style. and I thought my pieces where pretty good. Looking back, What a childhood that was,Arguing who's the dopest crew? Who's got the most fame in LA.. wearing pants so big the wind could have blown me away. and what's the latest gangster rap song at the record shop. Good Times

This shit has gotten ridiculous. I am sure it has been broken down many, many times. Nevertheless, toys take an ear to shit the older cats got to say: 1.) If you are the only cat in town who writes, consider the following options: A). Move B ). Quit Graff, seriously. Either that or don't tell everyone on here that your the only writer in your town. 2.) If you are holding down toy status, own it. Everyone here has been at that point in their life and for most of us the internet WAS NOT the place where we learned how to write. So if some of these older cats pass you a bit of wisdom that was learned in the streets -- which probably included a chin check or t…

read the SPRAY SAFE! thread stickied at the top of this section for safety, this is specifically for respirators. Seems these are becoming really common to use while writing. They were always kinda clowned while i was coming up, but if you are interesting in saving your nose, throat, lungs, and kidneys i would like to make sure you do it right. I use a respirator at work almost everyday and need to have training every six months to keep up to date. Ill do my best to keep this strait forward and simple. Choosing your respirator - First thing you need to know, a dust mask is not sufficient protection from paint fumes. these are the …

alright, i make a rediculous amount of stickers, like 30 a day, then go put them in crazy ass places. I have put together a little guide on making them for all you newbies to the art, it is really fun. ===================== GETTING STICKERS: UPS- the best spots to get stickers are, of course, the UPS stickers. but not everybody can get those, like people in the UK and in places where UPS stickers are only used by toys. Factory- You can look in your phonebook and find companies that manufacture stickers, even if the factory is hours away, it is worth it. go into their recycling/trash, and you will find THOUSANDS OF SHEETS of "defective" stickers, usually …

A lot of interviews out there are just so goddamn standardized but occasionally one comes along that's really good. We're talking replies that go beyond the usual "Who influenced you" and "Where do you think graffiti is headed?" and of course "Shout-Outs" Now and then I happen on an interview that makes for very good reading and gets me laughing out loud, pausing to think to myself "Day-Uhm!" and re-reading it more than just once or twice. In sum, interviews that are very interesting, avoid stock questions and just let the writer in question tell his/her story For me: PUZL KYT DTC in Clout: Very very good stories from him. Slut-butting cigarettes…

Death before dishonor. Calling all graffiti artist. This is not a drill nor is it a fucking joke. EVERY SINGLE DAY WE ARE LOSING OUR RIGHTS AS HUMAN BEINGS. Yes, graffiti is a crime. but do you think it is a crime punishable by death? I support liberty, freedom truth and knowledge. So Lets start a world wide movement. I have been actively painting around my town for 3 months now and I have just run into a bit of problem today. So I was walking my dog near spot I like to bomb, checking out peoples work, putting up a few tags. I walk up to throwie of mine and see my full name and a stompdown killaz tag written (poorly) in sharpie. Not too far away is a character my friend did recently with his full name and the same tag written on it. I snap a picture of both these, send it to some of my friends with a request to find the person responsible for this. I should know culprit by the end of tomorrow. My question for you is this. How should I/would you respond this? Im not happ…

I've been screen printing stickers for a while now and i have recently upped my production. While I love the practice and patience of hand cutting vinyl I feel there has to be a more efficient way. Anyone come up with clever DIY die-cutting stencil jigs? I've played around with a few things but no magic yet.

http://www.thelondonvandal.com/2013/06/free-vamp-graffiti-writer-sentenced-to-three-and-a-half-years-in-prison/ So, basically, Stuart Hall sexually abused underage kids and gets 15 months. Vamp paints some stuff, gets done on Perversion of Justice as well and is sentenced to 3 and a half years. I don't get how there can be such an insane discrepancy in the British 'justice' system. [REALLY sorry if this is the wrong place for this.]

Accident claims local teen By Jesse A. Floyd / Staff Writer Tuesday, December 30, 2003 BOXBOROUGH - John Ledoux was a good student, president of his class at the White Mountain School, a musician, artist, brother and son. He volunteered at hospitals and spent time in rural Mississippi, helping build houses. Ledoux was 18 and home in Boxborough for the holiday break when he died Saturday night, hit by a train on a dark stretch of tracks in Brighton. MBTA police are refusing to speculate what the teenager might have been doing - there is no station in the area - but his mother believes she knows what he was doing.. "He got a call around three o'clock S…

Hello, I am not a writer. I just learned about this from googling tags I see driving to/from work in Detroit. I didn't know what the phrases meant and now I understand a little better from what I have read. I am hoping you will be willing to help a casual observer like me understand a little bit about why you do some of the things you do. I am not here to flame people. Nuke my account if I am unwanted. I just have an open mind and want to understand your perspective. So for instance, one name I see over and over is HEAD. I see it in a fancy custom font in some places and then I see it in just a nasty scrawl on the 39/i96 freeway interchange. What is the point o…
